Don't expect to check in before noon
Had email confirmation that they would allow early check in (assuming they had availability). I showed up at 6am, as my flight landed at 2, fully expecting to have to wait a few hours. Instead they told me they had rooms available, but if I wanted to check in before noon, it would cost INR5000 + tax. For reference, that's a 150% markup from the full per-night cost. I slept in the lobby for 6 hours then checked in. Upon check out, the lobby was full of people with the same story. Seems they're running a bit of a racket, hoping you're tired enough from your international flight that you'll just fork up the cash for some AC and a bed. Other than that, the restaurant is exceptional, and the manager Joseph makes an effort to speak with all the guests. An overall great experience, other than the first 6 hours.
