Staff was very unpleasant and unhelpful.

Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Better Cleaning staff. Fire the hotel manager.
Location: About 10 miles outside of Colorado Springs.Easy commute to anywhere.
Staff was very unpleasant and unhelpful. When we got to our room it wasn't cleaned properly. (Stains on the side of the bed sheets). The refrigerator was warm but eventually ended freezing everything in it. (Almost blew up some soda cans). Didn't use the microwave but it had problems with the keypad being damaged. The biggest problem was the useless on duty manager. When I told her about the problems and got her to go to the room to inspect it she said the sheets were unpleasant to look at but offered nothing to correct the problem. She then looked at the fringe and said it was unplugged for a while and that it would start cooling just give it time. I asked the on duty manager if we could get a different room because of the problems and her answer was that we were in the room for more then 1/2 an hour and we had a non refundable reservation. So the only option was to stay in the room or find another hotel. Housekeeping would not be back till the next day. I ended up taking the Stained Sheets off the bed and leaving them on the front desk counter in the lobby.

Thank you for your feedback. Our rooms are inspected after housekeeping finishes them and before we check you in. The bed skirt was clean prior to your arrival however I do apologize that the front desk person did not offer to change it out for you.

Do Not Stay Here

Pros: Nothing. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
Cons: Everything.
Run away. Do not stay here. Horrible accommodations. Walk in and the place smells of cholrine from pool. Poor desk attendant. Room window hadn't been cleaned in years. Room stunk of old fashion toilet bowl cleaner. Clothes stunk for the next few days after only spending 1 night in the dump. Price list in bathroom for those who steal things. Slept ontop of the bed due to stained sheets. Staff was nice

BED BUGs and RUDE INHOSPITABLE staff - stay away

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Everything needs to be improved. The hotel staff have to be polite. if you cannot be hospitable then you are not fit for that JOB / industry.
We reached the hotel around 9:30 pm. theres are no pointers to where the rooms are n no elevators. Were given a room which was unmade. bed undone/ beer bottles and trash lying around. had to call front desk multiple times before getting a new room assigned. The room was made but didnt look up to date - mosquitos / flying bugs and dirtly rugs but as it was really late we took the room without complaint. we got into the bed but couldnt sleep as were being bitten all over. Turning on the lights we found BED BUGs crawling all over the sheets / pillows. it was completely infested with big and small bed bugs. once again had to call the front desk a few times before someone came to check and "gather proof" that our complaint was legitimate and even longer to get another room. We had a king size bed room booked and were given a twin bed to share between 2 people.. we still took it as it was now after 2 am and really cold and exhausted. in the morning during checkout the front desk was totally un apologetic and on asking for a refund for the night we were flatly refused. when we asked for the fronts desks contact names so we could reach out to management and say whom we had registered complaint with they very rudely refused to give us their full names (one of them just said her first name was Ashley). And told us they will call the cops and made us to leave their hotel then and there.

Monumental Disappointment

Extremely unclean. We ended up leaving as soon as we got in the room. No lights worked, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall, there was a pubic hair on the toilet seat, an unknown substance on the soap, and it looked like the sheets had been slept in. Do not waste money and time booking this hotel.

Guaranteed to dissappoint!

Reservation for two nights made same morning as first night. Arrived that evening and requested to cancel the 2nd night because our plans had changed. Was told could not cancel because we booked through third party (Travelicity). Then it got worse! If we had not showed up, they could only charge for one night. Then discovered that due to tourist season, the hotel had been 100% full every night for past 3 weeks (all hotels in Colorado Springs area were full). If the hotel had refunded my second night, they would still have easily sold the room to some other traveler faced with no other choice. Ok, so now I am out $100. Then we go to the room which was supposed to be non-smoking room, but it wreaked of stale cigarette smoke. Trekked back to the front desk and all they could do was give insincere apology. And they still would not allow me to cancel the 2nd night. We did not stay at the Ramada Monument the second night, but booked at the Hampton Inn in Canon City. Could not help but notice that the Hampton Inn writes their guarantee for Customer Satisfaction or full refund and prominently posts this engraved sign at their front desk. The only guarantee the Ramada Monument seems to offer is to take your money even if their product sucks. The contrast between the two hotels was night snd day. One hotel (the Hampton Inn) stands behind its product, the Ramada Monument absolutely does not. I would rather sleep in the car next to a busy freeway than stay at Ramada Monument.

Hotel is a dump; old, not well taken care of.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Tear it down, build a new one.
take this one off your list of possible places in Colorado. It is not well kept, rooms are in awful condition. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in in America!

Wouldn't stay or recommend !

This hotel was filthy, sheets hadn't been changed, pool was broken, poorly lit walk way to rooms, no ice, spider webs and dirt was thick in rooms, curtains didn't cover windows, the towels were thread barren as well as sheets! We were stuck, no other rooms in the area I needed for a work related event. All three rooms had issues! This place needs an over haul! Ice buckets in rooms but no ice, trash wasn't dumped! It was just awful!!!!!

Worst hotel I've stayed at in quite some time

Pros: There wasn't really anything we liked about this hotel.
Cons: Clean the rooms, perform routine maintenance and upkeep to the entire property.
We walked into our room and were overwhelmed with the stale, putrid smell of lots of dogs. We immediately left the room and went to the front desk to request another room. We were notified that our room was not "pet friendly" so there isn't a smell. After some arguing, we finally got our room switched, with the admonishment "we don't normally allow guests to change rooms once they've been in it." The next room didn't stink, but it wasn't clean with plenty of disgusting particles on the floor and urine on the uncleaned toilet. We returned to the room on the 2nd evening to find that the room had not been made up. We went to the front desk (we had to go to the front desk because at no point during our stay did they answer the phone when we called) and was informed that rooms are only made up every other day. Overall the property was quite rundown, in need of routine upkeep and repairs.

Faded Gem

Pros: Location and landscaping.
Cons: Everything building wise.
Location: Beautiful area of the front range between Colorado Springs and Denver. Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods and mountain hiking at your door step.
This hotel was nice at one time. Sadly, it has been allowed to deteriorate and it is hard to believe that Ramada allows it's brand to be associated with it. It seems it is just being used to generate income without anything being put back into it. In the right hands it could be brought back to it's former condition.
