It was off season so the pool was not heated, but the Hot Tub was great, it was good size enough for six or more people. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff was really friendly and nice.

Totally overwhelmed by the condition of the inn

Pros: The staff. The fact that it was clean.
Cons: Update the mattresses, remove rust from the metal areas in the room. Make sure room items work and are not broken. Improve the breakfast offerings.
Location: Denny's right down the street which gives you options for the breakfast at the inn. Nearby freeway which makes for easy traveling to Carmel.
I relied on the reviews others on a number of travel sites some of which gave it higher marks than it deserve . While money was a consideration, I thought I did research to ensure a good time. Very disappointed by the condition of the facility. My 91 year old mother has very limited mobility. I specifically looked for a place that had wheelchair accessible amenities and a jacuzzi. This place promoted both. When I arrived I found that out of 40 rooms only 1 was wheelchair accessible. Also the hot tub jets where broken so neither my mom or I could enjoy it. Both the pool and the hot tub floor where questionable. The rooms are heated with gas heaters that produce an awful smell with no circulation so it takes a long time to heat a room. Rooms are small. Mattress is all spring no pillow top, therefore uncomfortable. The continental breakfast consisting of wheat toast. Cornflakes and cheerios type cereals. Coffee only, no tea. Eggo waffles. From the looks of the inn, not much money goes back into keeping it up-to-date. I have been to Monterey a number of times. The rates are up there to stay in Monterey. Inns like this one leaves a bad impression in a visitor's mind. When the weather is overcast (as it was when we did our getaway), the place you state can make a difference in the trip. This inn were an added disappointment because there wasn't anything there that was pleasurable except for the people. In an effort to educate others, I will post this review on other sites as well.

No air conditioning, office closed until 7:30am, no "free breakfast" until 7:30am, patio sliding door and some windows didn't lock, traffic noise... (I stayed because it was one of the last hotel rooms in the area)

Not worth the rate.

Old amenities. Chipped furniture. Fridge not working right. No privacy, people kept walking by and looking in from the patio sliding door. Had no choice but to leave it open since there is No Air conditioner. Don't tell you its a 100% non smoking facility. Had to step into the street to smoke. Dissaponting.

this motel was in a great location-Munras Ave.

Pros: It has washer and dryer to use for minimal cost. Breakfast had several choices including 4 small waffles.
Cons: Drink machine didn't work but motel returned money machine did not refund. They said they had been waiting for it to be fixed for some time.
Location: None of the sightseeing points are very far away. Pacific Grove and 17 Mile Drive, Carmel are an easy drive.
We were close to Del Monte Shopping Center and good restaurants. Go one way on Munras to Fisherman's Wharf and Aquarium. Go other way on Munras to Highway 1 and Carmel
