Beautiful place! Good food, but reserving dinner with people you travel with is not fair. You can only reserve for people in your room and the app does not allow for you to book two rooms

The truth is my wife and myself saved up and researched this property before we even booked and were super excited. It was just the two of us and this great island of Jamaica. Room was covered in mold and smelled of it. Staff had a problem with my wife and I seeing that we are lesbian. My server at one point referred to me as a man laughed out loud to say ,”I assumed since she is a woman you where a man lol lol we will get back to that go ahead with your order. The amount of times staff ignored us and blatantly refused to give us a ride because it bothered the staff was ridiculous. I honestly just expected more professionalism and just politeness. If you are gay ,lesbian, or apart of the alphabet community please spare yourself and do not go to the Grand Palladium. Very big disappointment the property is beautiful ,rooms smell like mold, and staff is literally so rude. Had about 8 Allstars who did not care about our sexual preference.

Most of the staff was awesome. My waitress at Xaymaica was great, she was the shortest one there. The head lady at el dorado sharlene was amazing, she goes above and beyond. The shuttle needs to be more frequent. Otherwise I enjoyed my trip and does plan on visiting again.

It is extremely hard not to read reviews before your stay (or booking) & not concentrate on the negative ones. My wife and I were nervous for months leading up to our trip. From the moment we got off the shuttle, we realized we made the best decision! Check-in process to approximately 15 minutes. This included talking to your personal "concierge" whose job is to sell you more (we politely declined). Only 1 restaurant requires a reservation (Hibachi Grill) and you need to do it IMMEDIATELY after checking in, or you will not get a slot. That being said, we went to probably 14 different spots to eat while we were there, and all were impressive (even the buffets). ALL of the staff goes out of their way to ask you how you're doing and if you need anything. It could be someone painting a balcony, trimming a palm tree, taking out trash - they're all wanting to say hi and help. We met many great staff members at our stay. We seemed to end up at the infinity bar every night for the entertainment. Miss Jean will make sure you're taken care of! There are bars/alcohol options EVERYWHERE - I recommend you bring your own cup (like a Yeti) so that you can go to the bar less and it will stay cold longer in the heat. The room we stayed in could use some updating, but for the price we got and a ocean front view, it was more than what I could have wanted (and it's massive!). We took 100 $1 bills for tips - they were never required or felt like we had to, but very appreciated.
