The Beach was horrible, rocky and unsafe. The other areas of the property were lovely, clean, and inviting. The customer service was the best except that the a la carte experience was much to be desired, actually insulting. The service was not impressive and the hostess was rude prior to seating us.

We got there with no problems. we checked in . They gave use the wrong room called down told them they sent a mattress up like that was gonna fix the problem I said no then they gave us another room. It was late when we got there. I was thirsty so I looked in the fridge for some water. There was nothing in the little fridge, but it sure stunk. I called for room service and they said we don’t get room service. I was like what I didn’t understand why. So we decided to change and go see if there’s some food . When we went to leave the room to go find food, the door wouldn’t close and we couldn’t figure out why and then we did. The door had been kicked in before, so it took us a minute to shut the door and lock it . Then found a place open. The food was terrible. There was a few things and I mean a few things to eat. Then we went back to the room and changed to relax for bed looked around the room and it was not clean the mattresses. We looked under the sheets and they were disgusting and we had a hard time getting this room so we didn’t bother to call down to the front desk we dealt with it . And it’s still bothered me about that not receiving room service and when you check in you get a bracelet and this is the first resort that they had to mark you and come to find out there’s a VIP side and then there’s side I was on and treated differently. Even if you spend over $6000 for vacation you get treated like crap for not having VIP, and that’s why we weren’t allowed room service

I was skeptical at first about this resort because of the reviews but let me tell you things have changed at the resort. They are under a lot of renovations. The room that I stayed in was completely renovated beautiful no issues the staff were amazing very nice. The food was great. There was some food that was cold, but mostly was hot. The dining options that you have to make reservations for you would have to do the day that you land or get there and you could only book for two options which I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try all but ended up trying Japanese and the steakhouse, which were amazing . They have an amazing beach you must go to . They have a really cute water park for the little ones , game room for teens and a daycare from 11am to 11pm . And an humongous pool . Over all it’s a big resort it’s two in one. The luxury side, and the grand side.

Unfortunate choice of a Honeymoon Destination
Beautiful location, great food and some great staff. They don't appear to take a proactive approach to maintenance preferring to rely on guests to find issues. We were moved three times due to either water leaks or faulty baths and showers. Some of the servers were rude which is short sighted as tourism is the main industry with new hotels constantly being built.
