"Overall this was a very pleased stay"
Pros: amazing location for the price. Right on Mission Bay, a quarter mile from the main part of mission beach. Quick access to anything in San Diego Bed was very comfortable Full size fridge Small stove Room was nearly spotless, one little sticky spot on the carpet Nice pool and hot tub Excellent restaurant by hotel standards Wait staff was very friendly Cons: the free boat ride was a little lame, but it was free so no big deal Room had a faint mustiness Rentals are overpriced The hotel is a bit older so there were not as many modern touches

"Beautiful property with lots to see and do!"
Very clean resort in a great location. The grounds are well kept and scenic. Lots to do in and around the property- pool, beach, boating, biking, relaxation. Oceana (on site restaurant) is a must go! Easy drive to San Diego Zoo, Legoland, Balboa Park, Downtown.

"Nice hotel grounds, room could have been better"
Upon arrival, the grounds looked very lush and well kept.Check in was a breeze and Rich at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room we were given 1st, had a pocket door to the bathroom that was off track. An engineer was sent out right away to see if it was repairable. It was not, so we were given another room. The size of the shower/tub room was pretty small.I have 2 girls to bathe and we barely had room to move around in there. Also, the shower curtain was set too high so it let a lot of water out into the sink/vanity area.I wondered how the base boards got so water damaged. The room door when closed properly, didn't line up with the dead bolt so you had to pull the door back into the room in order to lock it.

"First time to San Diego"
I had a positive experience at my stay. The room was a little small but plenty adequate for our needs, comfy bed and very clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was very good in my opinion for a continental breakfast, had much more to offer than most places I have stayed. Only downside was parking, was no problem early in the day but getting in late was nearly impossible to find a spot to park but did manage to squeeze in with our small car. Overall very good, close to everything!

"Marina Accommodations Across from SeaWorld"
Front desk check in was easy and fantastic- they really made me feel like they were there to help get me into my room quickly. The room was a bit musky smelling- to be expected. Overall room was nice- we had a marina suite. I like the separation from room and TV area. The pool is nice- has 2 waterslides for older kids and a smaller one for the younger kids and they do movie night in the pool also fun for the kids. The service around the pool on the other hand was by far the worst I've experienced at a hotel in a long time. Be patient knowing this will help your experience be a better one. I had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. The bartenders were all great and tried to be very accommodating but the servers were the worst. I had stopped one on her way in and asked if I could order and she said that she would be right back and we never saw her again. A lady sitting next to me had ordered food and beer - got the beer never the food. Seemed like that was just how it was with service around the pool across the board. So if you know that, you won't get frustrated. Once you get your food- it's good no disappointment there. The restaurant on site is a bit pricey and just OK - they need to be more kid friendly.

"Best Dog Friendly Hotel in San Diego"
This is the only hotel we found after extensive searching that will straight forward tell you that there are no hidden fees for bringing your dog with you. Read the fine print for anywhere else, ($15/day at Best Western, $30 per stay at Ocean Villa Inn, etc). This hotel is centrally located for all the attractions around San Diego, has clean functional and attractive, yet basic accommodations. Free parking and very good continental breakfast. We checked in and out in a flash with no surprises.

"Convenient"
The room was very comfortable and there were convenient amenities. The sink drain was closed and could not be opened until someone came to fix it. I used the jacuzzi and it was dirty and cold and lots of bubbles. It needed cleaning.
