"Nice location"
Very nice first sight upon check in. The girl that checked us in was not such a nice person. I understand we checked in around ll:00 pm due to our delayed flight arrival, but her attitude was not pleasant and her communications not great. We stayed 3 nights, the last night the sheet came away from the mattress on my husbands side of the bed as he was getting out , we couldnt believe how filthy the mattress was and torn, upon check out we brought this to the clerks attention and she didnt seem to interested. The night before we had a martini at the "Martini Bar", couldnt believe they only had 3 martini glasses, as soon as I finished my drink, they took the glass and ran it through the dishwasher and took it out for the next drink order. You need more bar tenders at the beach bar, and a manager that will jump in and help the poor man, and not just stand with his hands on his hips talking to other waiters Guests were about 10 of us at opening time and his shelves werent stocked, he had to keep going to the grill kitchen to get supplies, plus the credit card reader wasnt reading the cc. The grounds are very well cared for and make such a pleansant walking area. Plenty of pool chairs.

"GREAT LOCATION for the Heat Game or Uber Riding"
My girlfriend and I stayed here and a Saturday and found a fantastic rate at The YVE considering it was the weekend, South Beach Food & Wine Festival was going on, and the Heat Game. We Uber'd around town to many convenient locations like FIFTY Ultra Lounge, The Epic Hotel for a great lunch on Sunday. There's a CVS, a liquor store, an all night Pizza Rustica, and a 24hr convenient store all on the same corner. The rooms are a perfect size with comfy beds and insulated well from the noise of traffic. The hall are pretty noisy I can say. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 was hallway noise (mostly from the doors slamming themselves, not the guests) and I thought it was odd there are no doors on the shower. Perhaps I'm just weird, but I like a door on my shower; their's was just designed differently :-P There is a particular employee who is MOST CERTAINLY a 5 and can make great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. After checking out, we left our bags in the Luggage Check-In with a Gentleman named Steven and he was absolutely TOP NOTCH. Helped us with suggestions on where to go, assisted with our luggage and car doors upon exiting and took his level of service with much pride; my lady and I both appreciated him and agreed he's stellar. All and all, stay here! Its cozy, didn't feel over priced, walking distance to American Airlines Arena, Bayside, and several other quaint DT Miami restaurants.

"Among the best in South Beach..."
I had read some reviews and was a little nervous about staying here. When I pulled in it was a little tight but from the time I handed over my keys to the valet my experience was nothing less than fantastic. The hotel staff were excellent and very knowledgable about local restaurants and things going on. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Good hotel, Good location"
This is not a four star hotel, but it was nice enough.  Location is good - 10-15 minute walk to Bayside, 10-15 minute walk to Mary Brickell, close to the center of the business district.  Clean rooms, good views.

"Great staff and service!"
The overall service was great. The staff was very friendly. When I called for extra towels, I didn't wait long at all...within 5 or so minutes. The smell of the hotel was refreshing. The hotel was very clean despite some renovations.

"Luxurious hotel, rude staff"
The Viceroy is, without a doubt, a posh hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, and the attention to detail and amenities were stunning. But for all the luxury, the staff was rude and unhelpful. For example, we went up to the rooftop pool to swim but found no towels and no attendant. My husband ran back down to the room to grab some and upon exiting, a staff member stopped and told him he could not bring the towels to the pool. My husband explained there were none and no attendant. The staff member told him there had to be someone on duty, but he would send someone to check. No one came. We asked three staff members to send someone up to the pool area. In the end, we dripped our way back to the room—and ended up using the room towels after we ruined the floors! Also word of advice, it won't save you a dime to go up to the restaurant rather than order room service. The view is beautiful and the food is good, but breakfast was $75 and we waited over 30 minutes for our check while watching the wait staff chat. Perhaps no one in Miami is concerned with schedules or follow-ups. I would stay at this hotel again, but I won't count on good service.

"Uncomfortable beds, great location"
Nice hotel with great location, close to all you need in SO Beach. Beds would definitely could use an update. Rooms are kindda dark but nothing serious (except for the fact that there is no light inside the closet space). For those who are not very picky, this is a good option.
