"GREATEST VACATION EVER"
Come on people, do your research. If your a stick in the mud, dont stay here. Everything was fantastic. If you dont want to pay hotel food and drink prices....Dont. Easy as that. The Marinas a short walk away to eat or drink anything your heart desires. Musics only loud on weekends. Duh. Me and the wife are in our mid 40's and knew what we were getting into. A relaxing yet exciting perfect vacation. We'll be back.

"I love this place"
We upgraded our room to a luxury suite with ocean view. They tried to put us up on the Ridge and this year Irefused the room because last year they put us up there and the view was a roof top, parking lot and the marina. They put us in one room for four nites and then we moved to another for three nites

"Trapped"
The Westin Hotel in Cabo is a beautiful property.  Professional staff, excellent service and great food.  It's almost all inclusive if booked with the breakfast and club level feature.  You can expect to shell out some serious cash for anything you don't prepay.  It's also a hotel far enough away from everything that you NEED a rental car.  Taxi to Cabo is 28 dollars and to San Jose Cabo, (Much nicer town) is 18 dollars.  This adds up quick if you want to enjoy the area.  There are trade off's with seclusion.  Lastly, this is a great hotel for the kiddies.  There is a kids club and tons of activities.

"Friendliset Staff Ever!"
This small, old world Mexican property is so friendly and quaint. It is NOT a 5 star resort, so knowing that is essential to you enjoying your stay here. What it is...a small place to relax and enjoy all inclusive drinks and food that are as good as anywhere and the best staff. The beds are typical Mexico. The pillows a bit hard, but after the day on the quiet, large and clean beach, or lounging by the clean pool with the swim up bar, you sleep! All rooms have at least a partial ocean view, thanks to the overall size of the buildings. A trick to remember..leave one of your room keys in the electricity slot just inside the door to keep you ac running. Of course, this is not very ecological, but will provide a cool room upon your return. Know that the bustling city of Cabo San Lucas is about 20 miles away and will cost a bit to get there is also essential. So take a cheap taxi, 50 pesos, to San Jose and enjoy the quaint art galleries and sidewalk bars and restaurants. You can also walk this route although it was too hot for me to do that! I will return here and have also stayed at Posada Real in Ixtapa with similar experience, except that hotel's windows did not open and I did not have a balcony. But I had an infinity pool! So do your research, and choose this property for what it is. Nice. Friendly. Quiet. Good.

"A nice, relaxing hotel."
Stayed there early in 2012 after the 2nd building was completed. It is not a large Hotel, it is a quiet, relaxing, somewhat private spot as it is a time share place. They were almost booked while we were there but there was NEVER a line for anything, and the pool and its deck were NEVER crowded. Food options were limited, but very good. They told us they were preparing for an actual "restaurant" to have mor eoptions, but breakfasts were good, lunches were also tasty, but the dinners they had for their themed parties were VERY good. They also had specialty (pork, seafood, etc...) tacos during lunch time. Drinks were reasonable, including $12 pitchers during the early afternoon I think. Water aerobics at 9:00 am to get the blood flowing, and they have a decent excercise room. The pool was AWESOME, and the deck let you lay out all day. My wife SO happy to just lounge and relax all day. They have a warm "hot tub" so its easy to relax in that for a while without getting too hot. They also have a big fire ring/pit that I think ran off of natural gas to provide some warmth during the cool evenings. The had 2 computers with free internet available for use 24-7. The rooms were spacious, and have washers and dryers as well as a fridge. The only downfall was the 1/2 mile walk to the main road to catch the bus. Its narrow and dark. But, the ride into Cabo on the bus was fun and lots to look at. There is a restaurant close to the Welk just off the driveway, it looks like a white shack, but once inside it is very nice with quiet live music and the steak and lobster was very, very good. We sat thru the timeshare presentation to get some goodies, including a free dinner susnset cruise that was an absolute BLAST. They had a live band that played a lot of great American rock classics, and the drinks were free. The waiters always made sure you had a drink in your hand (that way they get good tips), so we got fairly loaded (Thats was a good thing!). The presentation was VERY LOW PRESSURE and it was kind of neat to hear about the information on the hotel. We decided it wasnt for us, he smiled and shook our hand and told us to enjoy our stay. The beach area is private, and nice wht palm trees for some shade. But it was about 100 steps down to get there, and back up to get back to the hotel. But it was not a big deal and very worth it. This is a definite place to consider. I would not hesitate to go back!

"Excellent quick get away!"
We traveled from Denver to Cabo on a Thursday to Sunday - and while that seems short, it was plenty of time to enjoy the sun, the resort, and the downtown. Our rooms were clean, updated and well air-conditioned. We paid for the garden view - which was fine. Since it was May, it must be Cabo's off season so the resort wasn't crowded. The food was excellent (a million times better than what I expected). We especially liked the breakfast buffet and the cerviche at the snack bar. The waves were super huge - so I didn't swim in the ocean but my friends did - so it is swimable. The beach was huge and beautiful - but not owned by the resort so there are people selling jewelry and beachware. The pool was clean, large, and awesome - we loved the swim up bar. I would go back to Cabo and to the Melia in a heartbeat.

"It will be even better... if they ever finish the place"
I had read some earlier reviews so I knew to expect the time share pitch. It was fair, 2 hours of our time for 2 free massages and $100 for Javier's (excellent food). I had also heard about construction. What's puzzling is they are only half finished with the main entrance and lobby they started tearing up the jacuzzi in the middle of their beautiful pool for "renovations". I sat in the thing the day before and it looked fine.I didn't see any work being done on the front. Regardless, the jack hammers started on Monday at 10 and went until the day we left (Thursday). We got used to it after awhile but still kind of annoying. Other than that, the rooms and staff are great. We lucked out (or they knew it was our first time) and got a garden view on the second floor but could see the ocean and shore break anyway. I think most of the of rooms on the 2nd floor would see some water. Not a lot of selection in the market and prices are high but it was cheaper than eating at the resturants. Since they all have kitchens, it was nice to have some basic stuff for breakfast and late night snacks. They do have $3.50 tacos on Mon, Wed & Friday from 11-5 that were OK to good. Happy hour 4-6 had 2 for 1 cocktails for $8 Free, wired internet in the room but you should bring an Airport Express or other small WAP. The wi-fi coverage at the pool was spotty at best.
