It was a nice place to stay at. I do recommend you ask for a room that is not beneath the dance floor.

"Weekend Getaway"
I enjoyed my stay there just disappointed on the amount for parking. $45 a day. Also for the amount I spent per night I would have expected at least a fridge and microwave. I spent less for one night at another hotel on a Friday night and had both in my room and it was larger. Overal nice just a bit pricey for me. Especially because I live in the area.

"fun and funky hotel"
we stayed at the Ace because we were going to the Grammy's. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is a bit gritty, but we found great restaurants and shops nearby and a wonderful farmer's market. If you want something historic and away from the touristy areas, you should try it. My young adult children loved the turntable and classic rock records in the room.

Radisson Hotel Whittier

"Great Place During The Week"
The staff was great. All of them - front desk, housekeeping, maintenance. Really friendly and helpful. That is this Radisson's best attribute by far. The Sleep Number beds were OK, but we don't like them, so we're biased. The A/C was OK, but the unit must have been original to the building. It was so old you could barely push the ancient push buttons to change the settings, and super, super loud. Finally putting a six pack of beer on top of the vent helped a little. The bathroom, tv and amenities were nice enough for the price. But Friday. My god, Friday. We had a room facing the pool on the third floor. On Fridays, apparently for years, they've hosted salsa dancing with live music. It was. SO. LOUD. As in, we could hear the music better than we could hear each other. Yes, they stopped at 9:30, so not entirely tragic, but I could still hear the thumping bass from the lounge for another few hours till I fell asleep. Parking on that night was ridiculous. Over half the vehicles in the lot were taking two spaces. I would never recommend this hotel on a Friday night, and they should make people aware of the live music when the hotel is booked.
