Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location

The Valverde Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel that was just recently completely renovated. It was an excellent value for how nice and comfortable it is. The location is excellent on a beautiful street with high-end shopping and only a 10/15 minute walk to the main squares of the city. There are great restaurants all around the hotel area. The whole space -- the common spaces and our room -- was beautiful with dark woods and fabrics and a beautiful, big marble bathroom with both shower and tub. Breakfast was included in the rate and was delicious with many options. There is a small pool in the breakfast area that you can sit in or put your feet in. We didn't use the pool, but it was nice to have it in the breakfast area. The staff for both the hotel and the restaurant were very, very nice and helpful. We would stay at this hotel again if we are ever back in Lisbon.
