It's a building from the 1800's that was nicely decorated and lots of history. Three stories without an elevator, no staff except for 2 hour window to check in, and little explanation of what is available on site.

Thank you staying with us and we appreciate your feedback. We apologize if information you were seeking seemed unavailable. Our staffing is: one or two staff members are availble during breakfast and later approx. 7 am - noon, then front desk attendant during check-in 4 - 8 pm, an overnight innkeeper, and a 24/7 phone help line. Also, our in room guest services book outlines wifi info, breakfast service info, emergency info, pub hours and menu, gallery hours and web site, building history, etc...

This is a charming historic building that was built in the 1830s by a major general from the War of 1812, and it was once part of the Underground Railroad. Staff was fantastic—very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked the decor—lots of historical pictures. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. There was a nice taproom on the property but no proper restaurant. Good restaurants within 15 minutes and a great ice cream joint right around the corner.
