First of all it is a bed and breakfast that does not serve breakfast. One of the things that we enjoy about staying in a bed and breakfast is the interchange with other visitors at breakfast. My wife was very disappointed in the fact that there was only one mirror in the room and little space to place toiletries in the bathroom. In checking out, my wife looked under the bed and found a used condom. This was obviously very disconcerting . The bed made noise every time we got in or out waking us up during the night . The location was great. It's a beautiful old home but we were disappointed in the lack of Staffing.

Thank you for letting us know your concerns in your review, John, and I am very sorry about the condom under your bed! We have never had an issue with cleanliness like that and I am very embarrassed! I'm glad you found the location convenient and our home beautiful, we do take a lot of pride in that. We did, however, make it very clear in your booking confirmation and on our website that we don't serve breakfast and are a Boutique Art Hotel and not a traditional Bed and Breakfast. We had to make changes during COVID in order to stay alive, as did many hotels, and one of them was nixing the full breakfast. Guests didn't seem to want to eat in a room full of people during this time and the cost of staffing was so high that we would need to charge upwards of 400 per room to keep it going. We decided to make the change to just a couple breakfast snacks and coffee in the rooms instead, along with added mini-fridges to each room, opened up all of our dishes to guests, and didn't need to shut down the downstairs in the evenings to set up for breakfast. We wanted to keep the price affordable for our guests. We had also switched to contactless check-in, making it easy for guests to come and go as they please and at any time of day or night. Our staff still work in the kitchen everyday and are always available to help, however. The bathroom in your room has shelves, a drawer, and a windowsill to place toiletries, and I believe it's fairly common for a bathroom to only have one mirror. I haven't heard of that bed being squeaky before, but I will check it out asap to make sure it is still in good working order and to set up future guest stays well. I appreciate you taking the time to write feedback for us that we can improve on and I hope I've been able to clarify some other things as well. Nice alternative to large hotels

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing - I will go for a larger room next time.
Location: Eddie V's is a great restaurant - the owner recommended it and it is worth the expense.
This is a great B&B with attention of detail, clean, quiet, comfortable with great breakfast. One night stay and would stay again.
