The first room smelt VERY strongly of marijuana. The AC/heater did not work and had papers and napkins stuck in the vent. There were handprints and other liquids on the headboard. The bathroom vent had been taken apart and put on the towel holder. The fire alarm was sitting on top of the towel holder as well. The TV had no remote and no other way to turn it on. While looking for the remote under the bed, dirty wash clothes, trash, and food were under the bed. The door handle was broke along with the inside safety lock. I switched rooms and could only get 2 double beds and the key to the room did not work. Needless to say, I did not stay in a room I paid for.

The bathroom door is broken. The only thing holding it together is duck tape. I had to ask numerous times for towels. The microwave doesn’t have a food tray.

The unique thing about this motel is they do not offer continental breakfast. I disliked the fact that the type of room I booked through Travelocity was not available and I was not allowed to bring my pet into the lobby. The only good aspect is they do not require a pet deposit.

When arrived no one was at the front desk to check anyone in. When I finally checked in the room I was given was not ready the housekeepers was in the room cleaning it and it was 4:50 past check in time and way past check out time. So we had to wait and then it still wasn't clean there was cigarette burn marks in the shower and on the comforter and the microwave was old and dirty looking they should upgrade their rooms

Motel 6 in disguise,

Pros: Price
Cons: Towels, coffee in lobby, friut, not allow smokers to clean rooms
Location: Not important
Thin towels, smoking smell in non smoking room, bad internet, no coffee, no breakfast, remodeled rooms nice tv, nice shower, weird sink, microwave, refrig, small bathroom, and did I say thin small towels. I dont know why they cant have regular size bath towels.

Traveling with my Puppy

Pros: Close to freeway, allows pets, inexpensive.
Cons: I would improve the conditions of the rooms and hotel, but then it would be more money and probably wouldn't let me keep my dog with me.
Location: Whataburger across the street, always helps.
I needed a place about halfway from Dallas, Texas to Panama City Beach Florida, that would let me and my dog get some shut eye for a few hours.

Heed the Warnings

Pros: Price
Cons: Security, condition of some rooms
Location: Near a very nice Hilton and Homewood Suites, hint hint
I live in Jackson, and when our air conditioning went out and my daughter and I couldn't sleep in the late-June heat, I decided to choose the cheapest nearby motel for one night. Since it was just to sleep and leave, I didn't bother to read the reviews, a mistake I will not make again. The first warning sign is that the reservations clerk is separated from customers by plexiglass and a locked lobby door. Checking in was fast, but when we got to our room, the air conditioning was running full blast but wasn't much cooler than the outside air. The housing had been ripped off, and it was a wonder it was working at all. I went back down to the lobby to ask for another room, and the clerk was friendly and immediately assigned us to another room. The air in that room was working perfectly and everything seemed ok, apart from a strange sink faucet that splashed water everywhere, no tissues, and a telephone that, like the other AC, looked like it had been gutted for parts. The electrical outlets were poorly placed, so I was unable to keep my phone beside the bed as it charged. Our stay wasn't horrible. Despite the fact that the place was crowded and the smell of marijuana emanated from some of the rooms, we did manage to sleep. But it had a depressing feel, and it was definitely a "you get what you pay for" type place. For future visits, we will spend twice as much and stay in the Homewood Suites nearby.

Nice hotel

The staff was friendly. It took me less than 2 minutes to check in. My room was available 1 hour before check in time. And they got me in with a breeze.
