A great choice for Istanbul, right in the heart of Sultanahmet. The room and all areas were very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom nice. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and the ladies that serve breakfast deserve special praise for their food and smiles. We stayed for a week and will definitely return. The rooftop deck has a great view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus. We took a wine and beer up there to finish each day (November, so no bar service). Great value and service.

Great hotel in city center

Great location, not a lot of up and down hills as other locations in the Old Town. 7 min walk to closest tram stop. Delicious breakfast buffet. Guul (I believe that's how you spell her name) was an excellent attendant. Only negative is the mattress is definitely on the firm side, other than that it was great.

Returned Again

Pros: The location is easy walking distance to many important sights: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace , Grand Bazaar and the Basilica Cisterns.
Cons: More space for the breakfast area which I think will be addressed with the expansion. With good weather the enclosed roof terrace will be great.
Location: The tram is only a few blocks away which can take you to the Dolmabahce Palace, the Istanbul Modern Museum, the Spice Market and the Kariye Museum.
This is our second time at the boutique Hotel Sari Konak. It is as good as we remembered on our first stay in 2006. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to have breakfast in the enclosed roof terrace with views of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara. Our room was very quiet overlooking the back of the hotel. Wifi service was great. The hotel is in the process of expanding and will have many more rooms than it now has. The staff is excellent. Since we had been here before we didn't need any advice on seeing the sights and navigating about. The breakfasts have added hot items and now there is a bar to unwind from the days of sightseeing.
