I cannot imagine a better value. For this price, we couldn't get a hotel in Chicago with free breakfast cereal, yet at Cancun Bay we got clean rooms, fresh bedding and towels, comfortable beds, all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-booze, fun sports and other activities, multiple pools, and great staff. The sushi is very good and a great way to let your kids experiment with sushi without breaking the bank. Restaurant food is very good, but not for everyone. They serve great salad bar, salad dishes, rice, multiple meat dishes to put on the rice, fajitas at every meal, tons of side dish options, and tons of desert options. Food is healthy and well prepared. But it's not for those who insist on fast food like pizza and chicken nuggets. Some restaurant options are a la carte and you order off a menu. WARNING: Do not beat down the staff by parking your butt at same bar/restaurant day after day and over-eating and over-drinking. Glutons are not given NEARLY as much hospitality. I recommend moving around from bar to bar, restaurant to restaurant. Don't eat/drink at the same place two days in a row. Spread it around, or else they will get tired of seeing you there. And besides, you should be out on excursions and spending your money elsewhere. Yes, they will let you sit at the bar and drink yourself into unconsciousness every day. Yes, they will let you overeat at the same restaurant every meal. But give them a break. Not perfectly clean, cleaner than most US hotels. SAFE!!!

This place is simple would stay again. Loved the bartenders they were great. Walked to the taco places down the street and went to the market. Only sad thing I was excited about what the swim up bar was closed for remodeling.

Cancun Bay....where do I start? Firstly, the pictures on the website are very deceiving, they make the property look much nicer than what it is, but I guess it's fair to say that you get what you pay for. This is a very small resort, with no a la carts and one buffet with a limited variety to choose from. The pool and beach are both small with a lack chairs and umbrellas, and because of the placement of docks on the property and ajoining properties there is very limited access to the ocean. If a nice beach is what you're looking for, this is not the place for you. Rooms are dated and small and the beds and pillows are hard. Our first room had such a bad sewer smell coming from the bathroom we didn't think we would get through the night, thankfully they upgraded us the next day, with only a minor inconvienece of us refusing the first room they showed us. Lastly, but certainly not least, my huband and I got food poisoning, and are still suffering the side affects three days later. Book at your own risk.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and 15 months old baby. It’s in great location near shopping center and appears to be very safe. Staffs are very helpful, polite and ready to serve at their best. One of the best things I liked is them constantly serving drinks and snacks on beach and pool side. Food option is good, however. as only two restaurants so options are little limited if looking for different variety. It is little challenging to find sun lounger on pool side or beach as they get occupied especially on weekends, so need to be little early in morning. Overall I liked the property especially due to staff behavior, service and offcourse budget friendly.
