"Must read on Le Blanc (Nov. 2013)"
I'm generally not inclined to write reviews, although I read them religiously, but my experience at Le Blanc required an exception. First to set some expectations, readers should know (1) I'm married - late 30's (2) Fortune 25 executive  (3) from the Northeast - NJ and (4) preferred hotels are Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and St. Regis. I rarely have non-business related travel so a vacation (away from our toddler) is a real treat. Why we chose Le Blanc? Based on lots of reviews and additional research. I also exchanged notes with Andreas, the General Manager and was very impressed with his follow-up to my questions. What we really liked? Everything! You will truly be spoiled at this Resort. A honeymoon suite or better is a must and I would recommend suites 803 - 811 (8th Floor) - these rooms have ocean views. Hugo was our favorite Butler and very eager to make our vacation as wonderful as possible. What we really loved? The Food The Italian restaurant (ask for Gabriel to ensure exceptional service) was out of this world. The shrimp risotto changed my life and my husband still dreams about the veal osso buco. Israel, the Manager, ensured each dinner was better than the last. We ate there four times during a 7 day vacation! A very close second to the Italian was the Oriental Restaurant (ask for Reynaldo, he will take excellent care of you). The grouper and sushi were     noteworthy. The Spa I've enjoyed spa services around the world and was very impressed with all of my treatments at Le Blanc. The space is really gorgeous and truly relaxing. I would highly recommend, Leleni and Sara for the couples romantic massage. The Spa prices are expensive($350) for 60 minute couples massage and the resorts credits are capped at $500 out of the $1500 resort credit promotion for spa use. Despite the cost, I plan on adding another massage during my next trip due to the high quality of service and technique. I also had a shellac manicure but for $100, would probably just opt to upgrade to a facial. Room for improvement / "Opportunities": Rooms The rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pillow menu and dual shower heads. I did notice some "wear & tear" in the shower area (rust) as stated by another Reviewer but it was superficial and minor. Breakfast at the International Restaurant The breakfast at the International Restaurant was very average. I think room service was better for breakfast. They have a smoked salmon trio which was fabulous day or night. We enjoyed the buffet lunch at the International Restaurant  6 days in a row. Travel Tips for Le Blanc: 1. Floors 6 -9 ocean view / Honeymoon Suites have the most spectacular views. The Third Floor is all smoking and if you suffer from allergies, the lagoon can be brutal. We took some photos in the lagoon and that evening I had a terrible sinus headache. 2. Pass on the Palace Resort sales pitch breakfast. In my opinion, the other Palace resorts fail miserably in comparison to Le Blanc. In addition, sales people like Miguel reflect badly on the entire Palace brand. 3. Spa reservations fill quickly so make them, as soon as, you arrive. 4. Although tipping is not required or expected, I brought 100 dollars in 5's and 150 dollars in 1's. The Le Blanc staff make this resort 5 stars so please appreciate their amazing service. 5. Pre-arrange your hotel transfers, prior to the trip, details are contained on the Le Blanc website. We found the less expensive ($86 round trip) group transfer very adequate versus ($200) private car. 6. Be prepared to be treated like royalty! From the lavender aromatherapy in the lobby to the frozen Hawaiians poolside, relaxation, amazing photos and a zen like peace are abound at Le Blanc! See you there. Sent from my iPhone

"Amazing property, beach and service"
This was an amazing all inclusive resort. We only ate at three of the four restaurants on the property and they all had wonderful food. We only went to the mexican, steak and oriental restaurant. The italian restuaruant is the only one we did not go to. No reservations needed for any of the restaurants. The only restaurant with an official dress code was the italian with long trousers and a collared shirt. However, all the other dinner restaurants have an un-official dress code of requiring sleeves. No one told me this and I found out the hard way.. Service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and no one ever stood around waiting for a tip when they did something for you. We received resorts credits that we were able to use for things like the onsite spa/massage, swimming with dolphins and tours. The room has a fridge stocked with sodas and juices as well as 4 full bottles of alcohol that was included in the room for no extra cost. Room service was 24 hours and they would even pack you a box lunch for excursions, if you asked. You could even go visit and use the other properties owned by Palace.

"Beautiful and Relaxing"
The property has a quiet elegance, but is still very comfortable and warm. The service was fantastic and we enjoyed all our meals and drinks. The preferred level was worth the extra cost with a more private pool and lunch spot, plus a very well-appointed lounge for breakfast and snacks.

"Best hotel in Cancun"
Let me start by saying that we have been in Cancun many times and always try to top our previous trip. Live Aqua was absolutely the best hotel I have even stayed at. The pools are amazing & very well kept, beaches are clean, the food was amazing, and the staff is excellent. I tend to always pick apart hotels, but I honestly have nothing negative to say. As soon as you get there, you are greeted with a cold towel, ice tea and a hand massage. Very quick check in and immediately you get you wrist bands and start the all-inclusive trip. We checked in around 12 and our room was not ready, but we still enjoyed the hotel and all amenities. There are 2 restaurants that charge, but the remainder is free along with drinks and anything you could ask for. The food is amazing and very well portioned. Every meal is a 3-4 course and very well prepared. The staff is also excellent. They keep the place clean and tidy. Our room was well cared during the day and again in the late afternoon.

"Best vacation"
The hotel was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The open air lobby was beautiful and we were greeted instantly and escorted to a Hyatt platinum level concierge. We arrived a few hours before check in therefore our room wasn't ready but that was to be expected. We were given our wrist bands and told that we could use the entire facility and that our bags would be delivered to the room as soon as it was available. The service was amazing and attentive. Most of the food we had was amazing. The buffet at spice was great and had very international choices. Marie Marie was also amazing and our server Noe was very friendly and that restaurant had the absolute best margaritas in the entire resort. We would love to come back again and again

"This hotel is right on the beautiful beach ."
We just wanted some down time in the sun and this was the perfect place. I have always wanted to stay at a Ritz-Carlton and felt that in Mexico it might be affordable. Our room was $215 per night which was a special rate. The food was extremely expensive so they didn't lose money on us. It was our first visit to Cancun and we really loved it. We took a tour to Chichen Itsa which was wonderful. We took the bus to town...good market. Took a cab to the Mayan ruin just south of the hotel. All the people we met were friendly.

"A great hotel for an upscale family vacation."
We stayed a week and enjoyed the Westin Lunamar very much. The rooms were immaculate each day after the cleaNing staff cleaned up our mess. The views and the pools were amazing and we really enjoyed the beach. It's easy and cheap to take the city buses around. Each room has a washer/dryer. We stayed in the 1 bedroom with separate living room area. Our teenaged boys slept fine on the pullout couch bed.

"Great Place for families"
The Marriott CasaMagna was an excellent hotel for our family. The pool and beach were fantastic for my family. The rooms are a bit dated but they were comfortable and clean. I have a son with food allergies and the staff were very knowledgable and accommodating for this which made me feel much more comfortable. If you are considering a vacation here there are a few things to consider if you have children. 1.) the entire pool is 4 feet deep, there is small kiddie pool but it is off to the side making it difficult to enjoy the adult area as well as supervise really little kids. The pool is awesome for older kids that are comfortable in the water. If you have children that are not good swimmers, consider bringing a life jacket for safety. 2.) The beach was fantastic, we were not pestered by any random vendors-they did not approach us unless we approached them first. However, the lady trying to sell us the Marriott Vacation club was very pushy and persistent. If you are offerred a free gift I recommend not accepting unless you don't mind getting a sales pitch everytime you walk through the lobby. 3.) The beach was fantastic but the shaded huts are too far away from the water to properly supervise small children. While we were there it was too windy and the beach was closed for swimming everyday. That was ok for my family since the kids had just as much fun jumping into the waves as they would have swimming. Overall, my family will be going again!
