Love the historic house and beautiful garden. The staff was very helpful and kind. Free parking and breakfast, cant go wrong! Close to town and the things I needed to do that weekend, thats why I chose it for a staycation place.

We walked away from the Inn without staying.

Pros: The garden is nice
Cons: everything
It smells terrible. Mold, mildew and old dog. We just couldn't think about staying there.

Highs and Lows of Manoa Valley Inn

Pros: Beautiful house, beautiful garden, great breakfast, wonderful window seat. Staff very nice.
Cons: Coffee in the room!!! Better mattresses, let people know that all rooms are upstairs.
Location: University area of Honolulu. Highly recommend Koko Head Crater Botanical Garden with large plumeria grove; a little hard to find, but worth it!
Lovely old house, beautiful woodwork and wallpaper, funky Victorian decor. Staff very nice, but limited English. All rooms on 2nd or 3rd floors; family occupies the ground floor. Our room (Dole) on 3rd floor had 2 sleeping spaces - in the main room the bed was pretty good, in the smaller room, which had the tv, the mattress was lumpy. The room has a wonderful window seat. Bathroom is under a sloping ceiling which makes tub almost unusable. No coffee in the room and no coffee available until 7am downstairs. Wonderful breakfast served on the back lanai with fresh fruit, pancakes & eggs made to order, sausage and assorted Asian dishes. Beautiful, lush back garden.
