"No A/C but it was still paradise"
The hotel overall was a very nice place to stay with evening entertainment and other amenities that made it a nice stay. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. My husband and I went to Hawaii to get married and we had planned a simple wedding on the beach but needed some help so we used the concierge service, he was extremely helpful and worked to get us some very nice packages for a great experience. The in hotel bar/restaurant was very nice, a little pricey but very nice and the staff definitely had the spirit of mahalo. When you go to the island be prepared to tip everyone and walk everywhere you want get somewhere quickly since the traffic is ridiculous on the island. One other thing you don't see is the amount of homeless everywhere, they for the most part leave you alone but don't be surprised if one or two ask money every day to buy alcohol or pot since it legal on the islands.

"I have been telling everyone about Aqua Joy"
Room was clean. Staff very helpful, asked for a taxi, valet got me a limo for the same price. Didn't partake in the free breakfast went next door to Freds. But sat in outside courtyard for the yummy coffee. I will always stay here when I visit grandkids. Best place to stay for shopping and dining. Come with room in suitcase.

"A Pleasing Place to Stay"
I would give this hotel a "pleasing plus" rating in all categories because, although it is not a 5-star hotel, it was very comfortable. I do not have any complaints. It is very, very close to the quieter end of the beach, away from the crowds. Although small, the room had all the amenities one could desire, including a refrigerator, microwave, TV, etc. There is a comfortable, open-air bar up on the top floor with good live music and a friendly bartender who surprised me with an orchid lei. It is right across the street from a park and the zoo. There is a drug store within steps to fill all your needs. Best of all, the price is reasonable for Waikiki. I would definitely stay there again.Thank you Travelocity!
