"5 Star Experience At The Island Shangri-La Hotel"
From the moment you walk in to the hotel you experience 5 Star Quality. The staff are amazing. The hotel is beautiful with all the amenities you could wish for - from the beautiful spa treatments to the stunning pool and fabulous restaurants. The view from the rooms are sensational - overlooking the harbour. I stayed there for 10 days and did not want to leave.

"World class hotel in Hong Kong"
Very conveniently located hotel in Central. The train from the airport is the perfect way to travel to the property. We travelled with 3 children who enjoyed the journey. The hotel welcomed us at the entrance and then swarmed us with excellent service: they completely took over and ensured a streamlined and pleasant arrival experience. We had two interconnecting rooms with wonderful views of the harbour. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Large marble bathrooms were ideal for a family of five. We only had breakfast on property. The service was typical of Four Seasons HK and the food was excellent - to be expected with so many world class restaurants on site.

"Comfortable Expo-friendly and five star"
Grand Hyatt's are generally nice places to stay in any country and this one didn't disappoint. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive. I was upgraded to a room with a better view (being a panoramic view from the island towards TST across the harbour, very nice indeed) upon check-in. The hotel is being upgraded at the time of this writing so there were a few things closed for renovation but that was a minor inconvenience given the good range of choices within. The hotel is quite literally atop the convention centre so accessing that was very easy (my primary reason for being in Hong Kong) and the location is an easy 5 minute walk to the ferry station, well serviced by taxis and a short walk to the older streets of Wan Chai or a 5 minute taxi trip to Causeway Bay's shopping areas.

"Excellent Hotel and Service"
Hotel staff is extremely professional and friendly. They were efficient and service oriented and gave attention to every detail. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel rooms are like mini apartments and I loved being in my room after a day out. There were no amenities spared and the flatscreens, bathrooms, livingrooms, you name it - made you feel at home. Downstairs is Zuma - an excellent restaurant I have been to in both London and Dubai - and amazing shops. I would highly recommend hotel.

"Highly recommended"
Read other reviews which said the hotel was in an unfavourable area. Didn't need to worry. Hotel was a couple minutes walk from the main road where we used the MTR (underground rail link), buses and trams to go to the main shopping & tourist areas. It took about 35 - 60 minutes depending on the transport/route used. The hotel is surrounded by garages & shops selling car parts, which feels a little odd for an up-market hotel, but this is Hong Kong and space is at a premium. The area does, however, feel very safe, even for a lone female walking at night. We went to the front desk to check-in and was informed we needed to go to the Club Lounge on the 41st floor as we had booked a Club room. We were escorted upstairs and given cocktails in the lounge whilst the Conceige checked us in. We were even up-graded to a Premium room as we had booked through Expedia. The room was large, nicely furnished, with a lovely big oval bath tub and rain-drop shower. Slippers, bathrobes and toiletries were all provided. Bottled water and a fruit platter were provided daily, as was a daily newspaper. The food was enjoyable and well presented, except for what looked and tasted like frozen fries on the room service menu (very surprising considering the quality of everything else!!). The staff were excellent & all extremely friendly. In particular, extra praise to Gloria & Patrick from the Club Lounge who went that extra mile in their service. Would highly recommend this hotel.

"Very nice stay"
I booked this trip with my mother to see some relatives. The hotel was great, from the reception to the cleaning ladies. When booking through Expedia, you should know that breakfast is not included. Breakfast is quite expensive by itself (sth like 200hkd per person). But since Causeway Bay (where the hotel is situated) is a very very convenient district, there is a Welcome (local supermarket) and a City Super (In Times Square, 5mn walk from the hotel. more upscale supermarket where you can find a lot of western products) where you can get some things for breakfast. Moreover, there is a small bar/pub on the ground floor that belongs to the Excelsior and sells danish pastries in the morning. Like I said, the district is very central. I did not take the MTR but I know there is a station very close by which stops at all major places on HK island (all on the same line). Very pleasant stay, will go back there when I return to HK.
