"Overall, not bad, I guess?"
The room probably could have been a bit cleaner and the hotel in general could have used a good pressure washing in the common walkways. There were times when I think they simply didn't have enough towels at this hotel. One time, they took our extra roll of toilet paper while we were away hiking, leaving us with virtually none, during the normal room cleaning. The air conditioning unit worked well, but it would have been nice if it could have stayed on consistently, adjusting it's coolness versus kicking on/off. As a result of it kicking on/off during the middle of the night, I can't tell you how many times I woke up. The washer/dryer worked, but I kept having to put dollars into the dryer because it wasn't drying our clothes. Ironically, after I mentioned this to the lady at the front desk, it suddenly stayed on drying for a longer period and we didn't have to put anymore dollars into it. I don't know if the front desk lady had anything to do with this, or not. The free breakfast left enough to be desired that when my 7 year old and I looked at it, in about 15 seconds, we decided we would go elsewhere, though many people were absolutely fine with it (no eggs, meats, etc.). Luckily, there are plenty of Denney's around and a CoCo's up Bell in Sun City. Last but not least, during our last night at around 3:00AM, we noticed a couple "doing their thing" in the hot tub. We don't even know if they were actually staying there. I imagine security could be a bit better. If the pool closes at 10:00PM, I would THINK you don't want people doing it in the hot tub at 3:00AM (or maybe at any time?). All in all? I'd probably stay again, and I'd even recommend it to a friend who had to stay within a budget, but I would mention what I said up above and definitely tell them to stay out of the hot tub. The staff was very nice, I will say that - both the front desk people and the ladies cleaning the rooms.
