This property is located RIGHT in front of a river where the ships go through the lock to lower and higher parts of the river. Fascinating to watch the boats go through. It is next to a larger part of the river as well, where a short walk can take you over a bridge to see the sight. Along the river many people ride bikes, scooters, and walk. If the hotel had a bike or two to borrow or rent, it would be lovely to be able to do that. The down side of the hotel was the lack of hot-tub, pool, or sauna. But the handy free/included airport shuttle made it a good place for me. The river was an added benefit!

Very modern hotel and clean. Staff was great but no wake-up calls because there are no phones in the room. In an emergency, you cannot call for help, especially if you have a cell phone not from the area. They will do wake-up calls to local cell phones only. No coffee or drinks in the room after hours. Otherwise, ok hotel.

I liked the walking/ biking path behind the hotel. It was less than 2 km to walk to a grocery, through a pretty and safe neighborhood.

Great Stay.

Great newer hotel by main river locks. Neat to watch large boats pass through the canals. 5 Euro shuttle fee to terminal 1 at airport. Breakfast satisfactory. Restaurant has excellent food, but completely understand staffed. Took fifteen minutes just to get menus and another fifteen minutes to order. If you aren't in a hurry, the food is delicious. Rooms were small but so well designed, it had to be one of the best places we stayed during our 21 days in Europe. Very comfortable beds. Not much near hotel as far as variety of restaurants...can cross foot bridge over main river, but is a fair distance to walk.

Nope.

Quick overnighter between flights. First the good parts: very nice modern decor, quite, and clean. Comfy bed and pillows. Good beer at restaurant. The bad: rooms are tiny. We had a family room which is actually 2 small adjoining rooms. A/C hardly worked. Had it cranked all night and it was way too warm no matter how much I turned it down. Plus giant, hot duvet is the bedding option. I get this is very Euro, but when it is blazzing hot already...No phone in room to call maintanance. Hotel is located in industrial area so no restaurant choices. We thought it would be fine since there is a brewery on sight but, no. See below about restaurant. Security an issue, sent my kids ahead to the room while we paid dinner bill. They accidentally went to the wrong floor and the key card opened the wrong room door! They realized it wasn't our room because others were inside. Not good!! We had to leave very early for a flight so no shuttles running. They arranged for a taxi. Was told it would be €20 and they would take a card. It was actually €30 and he didn't take a card. Frustrating. Now to the restaurant. What a cluster. Waited 40 min for drinks even though we were told a couple times "be right there". Took almost an hour for overpriced food (€18.50 for basic schnitzel!) to arrive. They had 1 very flustered, no skill server for the whole place. Tasted fine but felt very ripped off for terrible service and overpriced food. This place could be great, but it's not even close at the moment.

We had a lovely stay in two connecting rooms. The rooms were clean and bright and the beds very comfortable. Our rooms had a view of the river and we enjoyed watching barges go by. A pedestrian bridge leads across to the village of Eddersheim which has a few good places to eat. Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Thank you for such a great stay!
