Great size room and great view

Pros: Size of the room
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to beach. Can walk from the hotel.
Nicely updated hotel with great views. Love the extra space with full kitchen, washer & dryer. Location is close to everything.

Pros: Our room was great and giving us all the comfort like being at home. It had all the appliances that you need and the view we had was great.
We have been to a lot of hotels, but the gentlemen at the reservation desk showed a lot of kindness in helping me and my wife and making welcome welcome at the hotel.

The Wright's Vacation - 2015

This year's vacation was absolutely wonderful. Finding a place to vacation started out being a real chore. However, husband got online and searched Travelocity and within an hour, we had our 7 day vacation (destination, airfare, hotel and rental car) reservations made. We spent 7 days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Marriott Residence Inn, Intercoastal Hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous. It was oceanside, so we could step out onto the balcony off of our room and see nothing but water. In addition, the continental breakfast was great ( all 7 days) and the staff was very nice and customer service friendly. The next time I visit Ft. Lauderdale, the Residence Inn will be my lodging place!

JUST OK.....

Pros: The location was great.
Cons: Cleanliness of breakfast area and pet smell in rooms
Location: beach is nearby
The hotel itself was ok. Just a few things to mention. The breakfast area was a mess. The tables were never clean between guests. We had to wipe down our own table. Garbage cans were over flowing. Silverware was empty. We stayed two nights. The first room we were in smelled like dog and was tried to be covered up by deodorizer. Second room was much better. Now this is what bothered me the most. As we came into the hotel at one point we noticed there was vomit all over the sidewalk and on the railings. We told the front desk and they did radio it in to someone. But the next morning, IT WAS STILL THERE!!! It was so gross and smelled horrible. I will not be staying here again because of this.

Great service!

we had a king studio and three small kids.  We fit comfortably, loved the deck to the inter coastal, kitchen and laundry very useful!  we will be back, and perhaps get a room with a table so we can eat more comfortably when we eat in.  Added valet parking would have been nice since we stayed 10 days, frankly, that should be included.

Great Hotel

Excellent experience from the front door and Ballet parking attendant to the last minimal details on the rooms. Service is outstanding and location unique with both views on different side of hotel, one side the river with access to private housing, the other side the Ocean and hotels area the choice is yours. Short distance from beach, restaurants and shopping malls,

Just one word.....AMAZING

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Il Lugano for our family vacation and all we can say is AMAZING!! From the friendly staff at check in to the cleanliness of the spacious Lugano suite and the awesome views of the intracoastal waterway from our balcony, everything was more than we could have imagined. Having the full kitchen was a huge plus as we were able to cook breakfast every morning and eat on the balcony, watching the yachts and boats go by, while planning our day. The pool and jacuzzi were small, but very nice and clean and there was always plenty of lounge chairs available. As others have mentioned, the best option for parking is the metered parking on the street in front of the hotel or the lot across the street. The Pay-by-Phone option is great and it only cost $1.32 for three hours including a $0.35 service charge. Parking is free from 6pm-8am, so set an alarm for 7:55am to add money to the meter. We will definitely be staying at Il Lugano anytime we are in southern Florida!!!

Beautiful hotel

A beautiful lobby with nice, clean rooms. Loved that every room has a kitchenette, washer & dryer and couch. Within walking distance to the beach (not crowded), which was perfect, and some bars. Downsides to be aware of - valet parking only, which isn't free, no guarantee for beach umbrella or chairs (only towels), and the location was a little strange, sketchy but still safe (and I'm super paranoid). Also, you have to drive downtown to all the cool restaurants and nightlife.

excellent

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
the hotel is in a quiet section of Fort Lauderdale with a 5 minute walk to the beach. I cannot say enough about the friendliness and service of the staff at this hotel. They went above and beyond to make our stay terrific. Would definitely stay there again. It was a hidden jewel.
