Did not like having to check-in outside through a window - it was dark outside, not well lit and there were sketchy people in the parking lot with police eventually coming to question them. Parking spaces in front of the office had cones blocking them off forcing my children and I to park next to two men that the police ended up searching their vehicle. There was only one standard lock on the door, you could see where there used to be a latch but it was knocked out. Felt unsafe.

There is nothing i like about this and it's no wonder Howard Johnson's are really no longer in business. Those that still exist are nothing like they used to be and do not add up to their name.

Everything Ok. Road construction make it difficult to get in and out the property. Breakfast room is too small only 4 tables. Property is a little old. It is great to have microwave oven and refrigerator in the room. Wifi has good connection and good speed.

This property was in a fairly convenient location to start off positive. The lady that checked me in was very nice and worked things out considering it was a spur of the moment third party booking. That is where it ended. Overall the condition of the facility was old and outdated. Bed linens looked like the original set from 40 years ago. Shower stall was exceptionally small (3'x3') and i had to duck down to wet my head. Perhaps the carpet needed to be shampooed or just removed all together. We booked two queens but got two doubles...overbooked??? No explanation was given. Now I know to relate the name Howard Johnson with a low class motel. I'd prefer places that leave the light on for you over this. Cost to benefit ratio is completely out of proportion to what we experienced in another facility in Flagstaff that has "Green Trees".

Needed a quick place to stay over night

Pros: It was easy to park
Cons: Breakfast offerings
Location: No idea we stayed over night on the way to Grand Canyon
The bed was hard as a rock, the breakfast was so much carbs a person couldn't eat it, these places need to think about healthy food for the clientele

It was ok

Pros: Location
Cons: Counter space in the bathroom, smaller window
Location: Right downtown. Lots of restaurants to choose from.
It was ok for the price and had a great location. We were very disappointed in the bathroom. It was too small, had no counter space and a large window that could have easily been broken into.
