"location, location and yes location"
The hotel has a great view of the bay and the balcony was a great way to start the mornings. Close to great resteraunts and plenty of things for the whole family to enjoy. The hotel had undergone some very beautiful renovations there are however still several finishing touches that were overlooked, one of which was the sliding door going to the balcony which was very hard to open and close.

"Great hotel close the Wharf and Pier 39."
What a great city. My daughter and I arrived early on a Tuesday morning, checked in and headed straight for pier 39 so she could finally get her lobster mac & cheese fix. We loved walking the embarcadero, so many places to eat and things to do. We ate at Harris' steakhouse that night which was great, a little pricey but really good. We went to Alcatraz and the zoo and both were really good times. It was nice coming back to a clean room every night and the front desk always asking if we needed anything or how was our day.

"Better than expected"
Stayed four nights. The staff was very responsive when needed. Accommodated our early check-in need. The view wasn't the best (other rooms across an alley of sorts). Wake up call never came through the one time I requested it. Located very close to a stop on the historic streetcar route (F-line) so it's easy to get to all of the piers.

"Glad we chose Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf!"
This hotel is within walking distance of most things you need: good food, transportation and the Bay! Just around the corner and up a street is a Starbucks, right next to one of the Cable-Car stops. Be sure to purchase at least a three-day bay-area transportation pass. Don't bring a car! Driving in San Francisco is filled with stopped traffic. In addition to that, most hotels charge a $50 per night fee for parking. So you can save $90 - $150 a day if you don't have a car. Also just down the street (the other way) is breakfast! Plenty of good choices. Along the way stop by Bay City Bicycles and get your bike for the day to ride over the Golden-Gate to Sausalito. Have lunch at Napa Valley Burger Company! Possibly the Best Burgers in the US. Ride back on the ferry. Then cruse through the Fishermans Wharf region on your way back to fall asleep for the next day. And that's not even scratching the surface of things to do.

"Older hotel in very central location"
The Wharf Inn is quite an old hotel but is virtually at Fishermans Wharf so great locale for Alcatraz tours, Fisherman's Wharf , Pier 39 etc. there are plenty of options nearby for eating and souvenir shopping. Ghirardellis is only a short walk as well as the cable cars and the Maritime museum. The trams to take you to Union Sq etc are only a short walk as well, so, very close to lots of attractions and a lot less expensive than other hotels nearby. The Sheraton is just across the road one block up. The rooms are old and a bit tired but clean and functional with good amenities and a good shower. We had requested a room away from the street and had room #308 which is at the back and very quiet. The staff at reception were all very friendly and polite. The downside ( which I had read about ) is the homeless who hang out at the 711 across the road and yell and yahoo at night... a bit daunting! However all things considered a good place to stay given the location and the price. Tea coffee and hot chocolate is available from reception and if you want a hair dryer or iron you need to get it from them but this was not a problem at all.

"Great hotel close to the Warf "
Great staff, extremely helpful! Rooms nice, loved the bed and bedding!! Room was big, nicely decorated, long desk area and lots of plugins to recharge phones, IPad, etc. toilet/shower area small but the large room made up for it. great location within walking distance to Warf, trolly, busses, etc. No fridge or microwave. Nice outdoor sitting area with wind break and fireplaces to sit and relax after a full day of touring.
