nothing fancy-but good

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet

I have booked a room with king size bed through Travelocity on line. At check in I was told that they do not have a room available with king bed. So I had no choice other than accepting a room with Queen bed. Room was clean but the bed was in real poor shape, sagged springs. We were not able to sleep all night. In the morning asked the manager if I will receive any compensation. He said no you booked with Travelocity so the hotel is not responsible for any compensation. I am very disappointed with this policy. Sent an email to Travelocity and they have not responded since 5 days.

I used to work as a busboy at the Crest dining room in the 1970's so I thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane. The lady at the front desk was great. There seems to be only one working door to get outside. All the others have don't use/out of order signs. The floors used to be carpet, now they are hard lino/tile. Two people walk down the wall and it sounds like troops are invading Poland. My room was very warm, thermostat had no effect. The room smelled bad, just bad like an old smoking room that had seen too many messy hang-overs. The carpet was stained, had gum and hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while. Fluffs of fabric were rolling around the floor. So glad I brought my crocks. The wall paper around the windows was sagging. The plastic cups were not bagged and when you held them up to the light they were streaky and water drop stained; is it possible they reuse these? The bathtub looked like someone had taken a shower recently. No HD TV but the bed was actually clean and comfortable. Pass on this one folks.
