The Sylvia Hotel in Vancouver's Westend perfectly blends old-world charm with modern amenities. Situated in a tranquil downtown area, it's steps away from shopping, restaurants, and the stunning English Bay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, ensuring a memorable stay. Our room boasted cleanliness, comfort, and a fantastic view of the bay. The bathroom, modern yet retaining historical charm, offered great water pressure and endless hot water. The hotel's restaurant and lounge, with its beautiful decor and large windows overlooking English Bay, served delicious coastal-inspired cuisine and an impressive wine list. As a designated heritage building, the Sylvia Hotel is rich in history and ideally located near Stanley Park, perfect for exploring the outdoors. It's a true gem for a mix of relaxation, history, and convenience. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return.

What an incredible surprise! What a beautiful room with exposed beams, well decorated, great mattress, hot shower. Restaurant food was top notch. Staff was kind and ready to serve. Special call out to housekeeping which went the extra mile in providing timely service. Check-in and check-out was prompt. And the location was perfect. Close to great takeout restaurants, Starbucks, beach, etc.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area with gorgeous English Bay views. Walking to shopping and dining with excellent restaurant in house. Ron was small but comfortable, clean and quiet. Thoughtfully enjoyable stay.

The Sylvia is a great place to stay in Vancouver. The hotel restaurant is very good and the area is walkable and English Bay and the beach are just steps away.
