"Great hotel and an even better bar! "
This hotel has a charming feel. Very friendly service. The Melrose has one of the best hotel bars I've been in. One tip. The guest before me set the alarm for 6:00am. I was unable to turn it off and has to unplug it from the wall. You may want to check this before you go to sleep. Overall, great hotel, great location and friendly staff.

"Close to Convention Center"
We stayed at this hotel because it is pretty close to the convention center and the Omni hotel was fully booked. I really liked this hotel, the decor is contemporary and floor plan is unique. They also have their own parking area but there is a fee they charge for parking there. When we first arrived I called to inquire about early check in and get a parking pass. The woman I spoke to on the phone said they had no rooms at that time and I would have to wait until 3pm to check in, but that I could come in and get my parking pass immediately. I went to the check in desk and had no problem getting my parking pass AND my room. I'm not sure why the woman on the phone told me that but the guy at check in was extremely nice and there didn't appear to be any issue at all. Bed was comfortable, room was upscale. I would love to stay at this hotel again if the opportunity came up.

"Cozy bargain in the heart of downtown"
This hotel is currently being renovated on some floors, and soon will have the perfect historical charm with modern conveniences. Regardless, I found it the perfect location within walking distance of Reunion Tower and many touristic destinations at a bargain of a price. Not crazy about $20/night parking, but there is a $2 lot a block and a half away. I noticed a lot of security on the street due to the train station, and the view of Reunion tower was appreciated.
