Within walking distance to Kings Bay

Pros: Location!!
Location: Close to park and bay as well as walking distance to restaurants and shops in historic Crystal Rivers.
Location nice and beautiful old tree with moss in courtyard. Room and linens were clean but only received 1 towel and wash cloth per person; no hand towel or kitchen linens. Apparently property was flooded last fall, owner in process of remodeling. However, owner thought our room was ready for use but it still needs work. Suggest blinds be pitched (dirty and broke), windows and curtains cleaned and rehung, carpet replaced or tiled (very worn cheap green outdoor carpet). I would stay due to location if rooms refurbished.

No bling, but easy on the pocket.

Pros: Budget friendly, clean, good location, close to boat ramp.
Cons: Mattress could be replaced and some updates would be nice.
Location: Crystal River, Silver Springs, Rainbow Springs, many other springs in the area. Manatee tours, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming...
The hotel is literally yards from the boat ramp, so it was easy to launch our kayak into Crystal River. The hotel was great in that it has a kitchen and some basic dishes in each room so we could prepare our lunches each day to take out with us. It was clean and neat. It is an older hotel, but well kept by the couple who own it. They do not come in and clean on a daily basis like a normal hotel, but will supply additional towels upon request. If you are looking for a new high-class hotel, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a nice, clean place to stay that won't cost a lot, this meets the bill. We were a little disappointed that they were doing so many renovations on Crystal River itself so it wasn't a great place to visit during our stay, but the nice thing is this area has so many other springs nearby that we visited a different spring each day with our kayak. It was a great way to get out and explore our state and the beautiful nature and animals that are abundant in the area. Since this hotel was so close to all of the springs, it made a nice "home base" for our adventures. It would have been nice to know that manatee season is only in the fall, but that didn't dampen our spirits since we saw so many other animals on our trip.
