When we arrived at Coombe Abbey after an arduous journey, we were told that they had given our rooms away to someone else. We were upset, but they booked us into a "sister" hotel that ended up being 45 minutes away. In exchange, they comped us a lovely dinner, but we arrived at the second hotel exhausted and very late.
