Charming hotel just outside the entrance of Chichen Itza

Pros: Quiet, great breakfast
Cons: No free Internet
My 11 year old son and I stayed here in January of 2010 and had a wonderful time. The hotel is about a two hour drive from Cancun but so worth it. Beautiful pool/courtyard area and charming rooms. The front desk staff was wonderful, arranging drivers and guides to take us to Coba and Ek Balam and patiently answering all of our questions. We walked up the road to Chichen Itza everyday, sometimes twice a day. My only complaint, and it really isn't one at all, was the lack of vegetarian choices on the menu. The restaurant staff mostly spoke Mayan which made the tiny bit of Spanish I had memorized worthless. We managed though and would do it again in a heartbeat!
