Outstanding Staff & room

I will be sure to stay here again.  It was incredibly clean and the staff upgraded my room without even asking.  I had a great view and wish I could of stayed longer.

Great room. All of the ammenities you expect from the Peninsula. Staff very good! Very busy in the hotel, but zero noise in the rooms.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff throughout the hotel made us feel welcome and well taken care of. We had such a relaxed, enjoyable time in Chicago - much because of our stay at the Penninsula.

Pros: magnificent hotel
The Peninsula Chicago is beyond excellent. The hotel is magnificent. The furnishings are exquisite. The staff is first rate, attentive and friendly. The food delicious. The fitness center and spa first rate. We can't wait to go back.

They do it better than anyone else

Stayed here for a romantic weekend with the Mrs. The room is good, the restaurant serves yummy food, the spa is real nice, etc. etc. etc. (And -- very important -- it's dog-friendly.) The one thing that sticks out about the visit is, everyone on the staff seems like they've been to that special "go the extra mile" training. Absolutely effortless. I consider this to be a good value -- you really do get what you pay for.

The service was the best I ever experienced in a luxury hotel. I strongly recommend the Peninsula to anyone wanting to stay on or around Michigan Ave in Chicago

not quite worth it

The Penisula staff were wonderful and very friendly. The bedding is excellent and very comfortable; noting that I prefer a very soft mattress. The location is right on, but so are many other choices. As a person who has stayed in several 5 star resorts and hotels I would say this one was not all that I had hoped it would be. One of the restaurants and decks I was hoping to enjoy were both closed for a private party. The luxurious tub had no jets. The pool and it's deck is nothing at all to brag about. The spa was completely booked. In my opinion, this was not a good deal overall.

A Fantastic Experience

The service that I received from the Peninsula was wonderful. I visited the spa and pool area. The lemon flavored water was a nice treat. I also enjoyed the strawberry ice water. The room was nice and clean as well as the bathroom. A surprise welcoming gift was left in my room. The gift consisted of a box of chocolates, a fresh fruit platter and a personal note. Nice touch, Peninsula! Although I traveled alone, I was never lonely. How could you be in Chicago? I will definitely return to the Peninsula. The hotel is ideally located. One other thing, if you go, do take advantage of the live jazz that is played in the lobby on the weekends.
