"Convenient older hotel-good value-would stay again"
We chose to book here for the first time for a short stay due to it's location and price and were not disappointed at all. The lobby is nice, free breakfast good(enough choices to satisfy all) - great breakfast place a few doors down if you prefer full service.Did not use the parking but the listed price was good for the area.No coffee maker in room but coffee is available(& tea/ hot choc) in the lobby all day.Prices for the min bar and small bites menu were very very good. Wifi access constant and strong. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times.Tiny elevator altho there was a wait only once while hotel fully booked (stairs-only 4 stories).Train access (useful red & brown line) fantastic. The room was a good size (deluxe double room with 2nd sofa area)and clean. If we had had the number of occupants allowed there could have been a lack of storage. Bath was clean and a good size. Water pressure could be better. Needs better lighting.Conscious of other reviews we still opted to stay in the room offered which was as close to the El as one of their rooms can get since they were allowing us to check in quite early. Having lived in major East Coast cities we wanted to see how it compared to usual city noise. If you are not used to constant train sounds it could be an issue. We did not have a major issue but in the future would request a room on the other side simply b/c it would be more quiet. No noticeable street noise otherwise.Nice area.

"No-frills but decent Chicago Hotel"
My daughter and I spent 2 nights at the Comfort Suites in March. We had a Queen Suite room, which was great for us. It had a nice King bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed in the separate living room. It also had a nice kitchenette, but we only used the fridge. (to store leftover AMAZING pizza from Giordano's which is about 3 minutes away!) The hotel is older and the rooms could use a serious update. Our room was clean and we had no complaints re: cleanliness. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hallways are super tight and the elevators are tiny. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. We grabbed a cab for a quick trip to Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum. Also close enough for a nice walk to Navy Pier. We had a nice stay and if you are ok with an older hotel that doesn't have the glitz and glamour of, say, theWIT or some other newer type establishment---it's a good stay.

"Cool, but not completely up to par"
I spent one night at the Dana when I was in town to see a show. The hotel was cool, with urban decor and the amenities you'd expect. The room was small, with only a patio door and no windows, which made it seem even smaller. The tiny patio would have been fun, except that the door didn't work correctly. For that matter, the TV didn't work correctly either. But they fixed both for us quickly.

"Great Location"
Nice hotel in a great location. Across from the park and a short walk to the aquarium, museums, & planetarium. My room had a view of the lake. Room is nice. Nothing stupendious but the beds are comfortable. Bathroom was small and a bit dark. I reserved a room with a queen bed and got a room with two double beds but I didn't care enough to make a fuss. The people working at the hotel were nice. The restaurant downstairs was okay but I'd prefer going out to eating at it again.

"Nice, convenient hotel"
Very nice hotel. I had a nice view of the park, about 6 floors up. The rooms are a little small, but comfortable and quiet. It was very convenient to where I needed to go with lots of options for shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant on the main floor has good food, but limited options and a little over priced. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
