"Awesome Chicago weekend"
The James Hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance to many of the major attractions. Staff is friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable! The restaurant is fabulous and the hotel lobby is very laid back and comfortable. Nice place to drink coffee while waiting for the rest of the family to get ready for the day.

"downtown hotel"
Stayed at this hotel for just one night in Chicago. Great location. Very large room! Two double beds, kitchen, laundry and bathroom in room. Room was clean but bathroom was not so clean and housekeeping forgot to leave towels. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and available but not very good quality. We ended up eating a banana and an apple. There is NO parking with this hotel. I am not sure if that is common in Chicago. The recommendation from the staff was to use the valet parking at a near by Hard Rock Hotel- it was $65.00 for overnight! We self parked around the corner. It was around $40. Would likely stay again because of location and size of room for the price- and would hope for a cleaner bathroom!

"Great overall experience"
My daughter and I went to spend some time together in Chicago. This hotel was awesome. The Spa is exceptional. The location is the best--close to everything. Great staff. Very pricey, so be prepared. ($3.50 for a cup of coffee, $13.50 for a gin and tonic, for example) If you want to pay, it will be an unbeatable experience.

"Best Hotel in Chicago - no kidding"
If you are reading this then you are planning on visiting Chicago. You MUST stay at Hotel Lincoln. This is not a recommendation - it is a must. This place is AMAZING. I stumbled on this hotel & chose it based on other reviews. Do the same thing I did & BOOK THIS HOTEL NOW. My daughter & I went on a vacation to visit museums & do some shopping. We did all of that & more. Here is a short list of what the hotel offers: - FREE BIKES TO RIDE IN THE PARK ACROSS THE STREET, yes FREE - other side of the park: Lake Michigan, 5 minute walk - excellent restaurants close by - awesome rooftop with amazing views - ROOMS, You aren't on vacation to sit in your room so you don't need 2000 square feet. We had plenty of room to leave our clothes piled everywhere & still move around - even do a cartwheel (my daughter, not me). Our room (after a free upgrade we didn't ask for) was super clean, had everything we needed - awesome toiletries, beds were SUPER comfy, window opened 6 inches to get some of the "windy" Chicago, heat/air unit worked beautifully & was super quiet (I never heard neighbors, maybe hallway noise a little when the tv was off, but that's it.) - most importantly: THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. I had emailed prior to our trip inquiring as to if we could leave our bags before check-in time & ride bikes. The same girl that I emailed left cookies & a personal note in our room. Big ups Britt & Alyssa!! Everyone was friendly and helpful with recommendations and directions. AMAZING.

"Great small hotel in a wonderful neighborhood."
Had a great visit in Chicago for my first time and seeing where my daughter lives. Love the location of the hotel. We did lots of things and when it was time to go the lady put on the cab light and the cab was there in less than 5 minutes. Everyone was so nice and always said hello in the mornings and when we came back in from our visits. I would tell my friends about this hotel and stay there again when I come to visit my daughter again.

"Beautiful hotel for this first-timer to Chicago!"
We really enjoyed staying here. It was a very comfortable room (we stayed in a business room)--spacious, super comfortable beds, and very bright. The staff were helpful with all of my questions about how to get around town. There are never-ending shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was a little sparse on protein options (very carb-heavy with waffles, donuts and bagels), but there's also a Trader Joe's right across the street if you need a little something more.

"Once In A Lifetime"
A budget buster for sure but what a great spring break experience. Sprang for the deluxe suite with river view for a few nights. Also selected the Kids package which includes hats and cotton candy at the door, personalized milk and cookies for them at night, Wii gaming, $60 meal voucher, valet parking, etc. The staff was very professional but very cordial and made our kids feel super special. This is the first time we've really felt that we got our moneys worth even after breaking the bank to get it. Also the decor of the entire hotel was outstanding including the restaurant on the 16th floor. It was truly like an oasis in the sea of sub standard hotels and we didnt want to really leave. Secret Tip: There is an excellent Italian pizzaria just around the back of the hotel less than two minutes walk that served very reasonable priced pizza and pasta which was very authentic and super good.
