"Cool, but not completely up to par"
I spent one night at the Dana when I was in town to see a show. The hotel was cool, with urban decor and the amenities you'd expect. The room was small, with only a patio door and no windows, which made it seem even smaller. The tiny patio would have been fun, except that the door didn't work correctly. For that matter, the TV didn't work correctly either. But they fixed both for us quickly.

"Loved it - so unique!!"
We had no issues what so ever. Loved this hotel! It was so fun and modern and not your usual hotel. Everyone that works there that we came into contact wtih was wonderful and happy and very helpful. The front desk gave us a few tips which was really nice of them. We didn't get a chance to try out the bar inside the hotel, but it was very lovely and cool looking. This hotel was worth it just for the photos alone! There was a surprise around ever corner. Make sure you visit the first floor above the lobby - there's a "game" room with a TV and chairs and tables. It was fun! And make sure you look out the window of your room - you just might spy something (or someone)! And the elevators were really neat! The walls were covered in music album covers and you could turn the music up and down, or change the song. And there are chalkboards on the outside of each room. Make sure you write something - and maybe check out a few other floors to see what other people ha written (Example: Don't knock unless you have booze!) Everything was clean and new.

"Great location, beautiful room...will be here again"
My GF and I got to the hotel at 11AM, well before the 3PM check-in. They not only allowed us to check in 4 hours early, but waived the early check-in fee too! They also will hold onto your bags the day of your travel so you don't have to lug them around if check in/out time is too early/late. I asked that roses be in the room before check in as a surprise to the GF and they were, even with the early check in. Very accomodating & friendly staff. Room was cozy (read small) but very clean and welcoming. Room service was thorough and toiletries were full every day. Bathroom is large with a nice stand up shower. Bed is comfy. Only issue with the room was the air got a little stale, I couldn't get the fan o stay on constantly throughout the night like I enjoy. Proximity-close to all. Walked to Mag Mile, Navy Pier, excellent bars/restaurants in area. Safe, clean and enjoyable. Taxis at teh door constantly to wisk you away or 2 blockt to the red and brown line (I like to figure out each cities public transportation...its fun for me).

"Fabulous Location, Great Room with a View"
Boutique hotel, with modern, well designed rooms and very comfy beds. Our room had a picture perfect view of the city. The room was small, but we were only there for sleeping and dropping off shopping bags. Great hotel for the price in a perfect location for a weekend in Chicago.

"Multidimensional class"
The fully restored Reliance Building has gorgeous rooms and fittings, though a little tight. Bay window rooms off Washington offer a view of Pritzker Pavilion. Enjoyed the false door to our room harking from its days an office building. Atwood Cafe was also a feast for the eyes of Chicago School - healthy and tasty food, with a nice Irish Coffee and Blood Orange mimosas. The Front Desk staff were excellent, and we received a handwritten note from the maid. All around classy!

"Good value for the money"
This place is a very safe, comfortable, and reasonably priced hotel in the Vernon Hills area. CDW and other companies seem to keep the occupancy and rates up in the area - this is just a good value...not too fancy, but not shabby either.

"Overall good value"
I decided to stay at the Palomar just to see how it was, as i work in another 4 star property downtown Chicago, and i like to see what the competition has to offer. This hotel being brand new is really nice as you would expect from a new property, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. There is one young kid there named "Colin"i THINK with curly hair, a bellman who stood out, and Bobby at the welcome desk was good. The room i had was nice but i wasn't blown away by the size, i would have liked something bigger, but oh well. The bed was average in comfort, but they have nice perks in the room like those comfy socks you can purchase for $15. I would stay here again, just in a bigger room.

"This hotel was wonderful"
This is an oasis of comfort and serenity in the middle of Chicago. The hotel is located in the Gold Coast area just north of downtown and is surrounded by great shopping and dining. From the moment you enter the driveway, the business of the city seems to fall away. The staff are absolutely wonderful and are as attentive as any I've come across. I've stayed in a lot of great places in my life, and many hotels in Chicago, and they all fall short of the Waldorf. The spa was great, the bar is cozy and the rooms are unbelievable. The concierge did not hesitate when we asked for reservations at some popular places and the house car was a very nice perk that most hotels cannot replicate. Joe the driver was very accommodating and helpful. My only complaint is the lighting system in the rooms - hard to figure out and when it's dark the labels are not back-lit and it's difficult to know what lights are coming on. However, this is a very minor inconvenience. We had a fireplace in our room that was a very welcome touch in the middle of winter. The bathrooms are huge and the overall decorating is understated elegance. All in all, this was a nearly perfect experience.
