The terminal is a U-shaped facility with 9 passenger terminals connected by a two-level roadway. Over 20 different retail shops serve passengers flying into Los Angeles, along with more than 38 different restaurants, 9 duty-free shops, and 8 currency exchanges. Airline lounges include Air France, Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, US Airways, and United, with two VIP lounges, a reLAX Lounge, and an XpresSpa. Operating hours vary, with closures for a few hours each night in each terminal, none of which are on a 24-hour schedule.
To relieve traffic on the access roadways, LAX is connected to a number of shuttles, long distance vans, metro buses, and light rail. Flights into LAX also support a large network of rental cars and taxis to move travelers as efficiently as possible.
Additional airports serving the Los Angeles area include Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, Long Beach Airport, and Ontario Airport, providing options to the north, east, and south metropolitan areas.
