"Great hotel both in price and location.Recommend"
I booked this hotel online being unfamiliar with the area was unsure about the quality. I was very pleasantly surprised how beautiful and luxurious it was. It was indeed a 4 star hotel with all the amenities you would need, from over 5 restaurants on site to select, to convenient store, to great bath products. I could have left all of my shower accessories at home because theirs were very nice (THANN and Bath & Bodyworks). The only disappointment (which was bearable) was that the children's pool was very small and so was the Kids Club. There was not much else for kiddos there. Restaurant access was super easy but pricey, but considering we didn't have to drive anywhere that was okay. Food served out by the pool was yummy and affordable but drinks are pricey. And they do offer all inclusive but it wasn't worth it for us since we didn't eat/drink all day. You have to buy all inclusive in advance as they don't sell it once you arrive (I was told). Overall, the place was beautiful, the beach was gorgeous, and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

"elegant hotel"
Sandos Hotel is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly and personalize service. Our room was checked 3 or 4 times a day, between changing linens, turning down the bed and restocking the mini bar. Restaurant staff are excellent. Service in the bar was sometimes surprisingly slow , however, especially because the bar was usually quiet, with only a handful of people in there most times. The food in the upscale reasons, Seasons, was superb. My only complaint was that they seldom changed the menu so items served were usually the same night after night. Hey, if you like lobster, though, and want it every night, this is the place. The desserts, , however, were works of art. They were almost too pretty to eat but I am glad I did because they were fabulous! The pool areas are lovely, there were lots of lounges and swinging beds to lounge in. The gym was well maintained and the spa very pretty and calming. Entertainment in the bar area was quiet, with solo musicians playing their instruments in the evening. If you want a calm, low key hotel, this may be the place for you.

"Great customer service"
Great Service right from the time you arrive for check in. Hotel staff was always polite and helpful. Everyone greeted you upon walking up to you or to serve you. All inclusive was fantastic, drink were never a problem the staff made sure you always had a full drink no matter if you were on the beach or siting by the pool or in the main area of the hotel. The food was good, room service was good, all aspects of this hotel were great. This was our first trip to Cancun and I am glad we chose this place to stay. You cannot beat the hospitality! Rooms were very clean, beds were soft, temps in the rooms were great, Bath robes and slippers was a great addition. We had a balcony on 4th floor overlooking water and pool area, it was quite and very comfortable. It was one of the most relaxing vacations. Shopping close by at a mall where you could discuss prices instead of accepting first price given. We used the hotel travel to book a day trip to Chichenitza. The day trip was not as promised so you are better to book your day trips with the travel agency in the mall than at the hotel. I filed a complaint with the Best Travel people at the hotel but never got a reply or apology. So, better to use travel agency in the mall. That was the only problem we experienced during our week stay. The hotel is Fantastic you would not regret staying at this destination.

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful rooms, awesome pool"
We just got back from our honeymoon at the Ritz Carlton-Cancun. The room was beautiful with a direct view of the crystal blue ocean.  The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. There is free internet in lounge in the lobby in a beautiful room. The bathroom in the room was completely tiled in marble with a separate room for toilet, a stand up shower and a separate tub. It was a standard room but fairly large with a balcony overlooking both pools and the ocean.  Room service was great, they prepare the food in the room for you.  10/10 would recommend and would stay again.

"Great first-time trip to Cancun!"
This place is huge and it took a full day to get our bearings and learn where everything is. My husband and I upgraded to VIP and it was worth it. We had so much fun on the lagoon lunch cruise included with our upgrade! We really liked having the VIP Club Lounge on the 8th floor for breakfast and cocktails. It was quiet and the food was good. Isaac took great care of us. He is outstanding. Having a personal concierge to make our reservations was great too. Nicole and Sandy were so helpful and easily answered any questions. The first night we ate at Wayne's Boots. It was fun watching people try to ride the mechanical bull but our steaks were not good so I don't recommend that restaurant. My favorite restaurant was the French, Sans Souci. The steaks were delicious and the atmosphere was very upscale. We sat by an oceanfront window at dusk and had an amazing experience. Juan was fantastic! This restaurant is adults only with a dress code. Great ambiance. The Mexican restaurant was really good and I loved the decor. Jose took care of us and we enjoyed our dinner very much. My husband's favorite restaurant was Fisherman's. The mahi mahi was good. The Italian restaurant was ok. Then there was La Palapa. That was where most people had breakfast lunch & dinner. Big variety, buffet style but with chefs at various stations cooking made to order items. Great view of two of the pools. There were a lot of kids here since this is a family resort and everyone seemed to be having fun.

"Amazing property, beach and service"
This was an amazing all inclusive resort. We only ate at three of the four restaurants on the property and they all had wonderful food. We only went to the mexican, steak and oriental restaurant. The italian restuaruant is the only one we did not go to. No reservations needed for any of the restaurants. The only restaurant with an official dress code was the italian with long trousers and a collared shirt. However, all the other dinner restaurants have an un-official dress code of requiring sleeves. No one told me this and I found out the hard way.. Service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and no one ever stood around waiting for a tip when they did something for you. We received resorts credits that we were able to use for things like the onsite spa/massage, swimming with dolphins and tours. The room has a fridge stocked with sodas and juices as well as 4 full bottles of alcohol that was included in the room for no extra cost. Room service was 24 hours and they would even pack you a box lunch for excursions, if you asked. You could even go visit and use the other properties owned by Palace.

"Very quiet and relaxing"
My husband and I have been to Cancun many times and know what to expect from a hotel in this price range. Contrary to some of the reviews we had a great time. If you understand that standards are not quite the same as in the US and loosen up a bit you and your partner will have a great time. This is an older hotel but it is beautiful, sophisticated and clean. We stayed in a club room with soaking pool on the deck, more expensive but worth it. Room 779 was great, on top floor and closest to ocean. Check in was quick. the room was private and adults only so I was able to soak and tan topless! The room included slow wifi and because it was our 15th anniversary they gave us a bottle of champagne. Typical for Mexico, the bed was a bit hard but the rest of the room made up for it. I was so happy to find that the pool area was quiet and relaxing, no blaring music, obnoxious guy on a speaker or loud guests, just a peaceful place to read and enjoy the view. They have lots of chairs, umbrellas, plus beds on the beach! We enjoyed all the restaurants, however the buffet was average... you will need to be selective there. I really liked the shows I saw, both were sexy but classy... the Mayan Show at the pool was a native dance with drums etc... and in the lobby there were contortionists that danced and did a trapeze act. We bought booze for the room and skipped the bars. Happy with hotel overall.

"Excellent Value"
My family had a great stay at the GR Caribe. We found this resort to be an excellent value for our needs. It was our second time visiting Cancun and first time trying an all-inclusive package. If you are reading this, you were probably drawn to the relatively low price GR Caribe offers, compared to the other all-inclusive resorts in Cancun. The hotel and grounds were clean if a little dated in appearance. The room was spacious and clean, but for some reason wi-fi was not working so that was a little disappointing. Our initial impression of the food was not that great until we learned our way around. If you are a picky eater, avoid the lunch and dinner buffets. I have never been particularly picky about food, but was not able to find much that I liked. However, once we discovered the restaurants we were actually quite happy. The resort restaurants have different menus each evening and you select one dish each from 3-4 courses. If you are really hungry, you should not skip any courses as the serving sizes of each course are quite small by American standards. Except for one or two dishes over an entire week, we were quite happy with our meals. The restaurant staff were also great and very helpful. Drinks were also quite good. They are all made with middle-shelf brands and nothing tasted watered down. The only real irritant the entire trip were the annoying people trying to sell shares. I had to be rather forceful to make them leave me alone.

"Wow!!! What a great find"
This is a great resort-great location, nice service. It was like I was on a cruise ship-no need to leave the resort. The weather was perfect-rained during the night. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family. Already making plans to go next year, and stay here. Please don't read into other negative reviews-I'm picky and this was a great stay.

"Best hotel I've stayed in - def plan to return"
My husband and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary trip. The room was huge, clean, and even included snacks and drinks in the fridge as well as bottles of alcohol that were replenished daily. The facilities were great and we felt safe on the gated property. The wifi was decent outside of the room, but very spotty within. We tried all of the restaurants; there were a variety of options and the food and service were good, especially at the breakfast buffet. It wasn't obvious to me that you had to stick a card in your door to request housekeeping service so even though we didn't put up the Do Not Disturb card and stayed gone all day and afternoon, the room still wasn't clean when we returned. It wasn't a problem after the first day but I think the housekeeping card you put in the outside of the door deactivated the room key because I had to go to the front desk to get my key reactivated at least 6 times during our 4 day stay even though I kept it in a zippered pocket with no other credit cards. All of the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful (especially Patricio). I did have one unpleasant conversation with Luis who was dismissive when I inquired about the rates to extend the room an additional night. (He informed me to call Travelocity as if I couldn't afford to pay the standard hotel rates.) But, everyone else was wonderful and they decorated our room with roses and left champagne and fruit for our anniversary, which was a great surprise.
