"Pretty hotel near beach"
This was definitely an awesome hotel to stay at. I was only here for 4 days but it was the most relaxing 4 days. The food was okay which is to be expected since it is an all inclusive resort. Albert the bartender in the lobby was very friendly and we loved coming back to chat with him. Overall, beautiful resort that we would definitely come back to stay at.

"Relaxing family getaway"
This is a great resort for families and couples that need some R&R in a beautiful atmosphere. If you're looking for late night shenanigans ...this isn't your place. The staff is awesome and the location of this hotel is great. It's not huge so you'll never fight for a lounge chair or have to wait for a table in the restaurant. Go with the all-inclusive package, it's a great deal.

"GR SOLARIS"
Good experience overall. Staff is friendly & hard working. Luis was amazing at the bar by the pool! Always knew what we wanted & was very sweet! Rooms are fine. Beach is nice, aside from a bit of seaweed. Food is average, but that's pretty typical. Just got back last night & we all had a great time! Could use a little less from the time share people.

"Nice Hotel, Nice set-up, close to beach"
Family of 4 summer vacation. Kitchenette is our preference over all-inclusive, this was a nice find for us to fit our needs. It had all that we needed for our 5 day stay. The seperate bedroom & living room were a nice set-up & find (from what we heard of others in different hotels). Pull down beds, I thought, were a nicer and easier set-up from the typical pull-out couch. Lots of seating. Balcony is big, abundant seating & a table, & an awesome view of the property- pool & beach, regardless where your room is (with exception to maybe the first level of rooms, but then in that case you have ground level access to the pool so it balances out ). The beds are comfortable.TV mostly has spanish only channels, except for the major networks, so it's tolerable. There are movie rentals in english in the hotel market for a reasonable price. The hotel places a credit amount on your room keys, therefore keep track of your keys as it's basically a charge card- that could be good or bad, I personally didn't mind it(keep rcpts). We did our major grocery shopping at the local super market about 10min up the cancun hotel strip, which had a larger selection of food & slightly cheaper prices. We bought a few as needed items from the hotel market for decent prices. Staff is friendly (we found the locals in general to be friendly). Ask the concierge for a schedule of events in the hotel and visit the activity room near the pool for kid activities. Can purchase activities (parasailing, etc)in lobb

"All-inclusive at Caribe-in July"
We traveled in July 2015, and didn't realize the humidity was so HIGH and the resort was open air lobby so unless you were in the water, your room, or a restaurant, it was close to miserable. I had not packed enough outfits to change 3 times a day! We met friends there and were constantly trying to find a cool place to 'visit.' The hotel staff were excellent from people mopping the floors constantly, adult activity/entertainment (Jonathan, Aldo, Mike), and to the bartenders & servers (Lobby: Enrique, Tony, Norma and Violeta, Zambia?). We ate in Gaviotas most mornings and the wait staff were excellent, as well as the 'pool bar' people were soooo good. I visited this bar and the lobby bar the most and you would think I could remember the bartenders, but.... . The upstairs restaurant (how soon we forget names) with Carolina as our seater. She was so nice, patient and always smiling. I liked this restaurant as it was air conditioned, looked out over the pool, beach and food was good. Fernando at Sunset Grill was awesome, friendly and attentive. WE also ate at Maria's - Mexican restaurant which was good but I guess I am too used to American/Mexican so this was 'fancy.' We did not try the Italian restaurant but looked at the menu and it looked good too. I also found nachos at the 24 hour cafe. Cheese was more runny than I am accustomed but it was good. I walked around to the children's area and it appears there is supervised children activities from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"Great location but needs updating"
(We did not choose All-Inclusive Option because there are so many options close by) Positives: Hotel location is great, especially if you want to walk to nightlife/grocery store/market. Beach was much nicer than many hotels close to us that were covered in disgusting seaweed, and we could always find a chair and umbrella. Great pools with enough chairs and a swim up bar. We did buy beer and a cooler (no fridge), and brought that down to the beach to save some money. The employees were all pleasant and friendly. Negatives: The construction going on next door was loud. Luckily, our room was on the other side. I highly recommend paying extra for ocean view, and ask to be on opposite end of construction . We also got chairs and umbrellas on the other side of hotel where we could not hear it. The rooms are not very luxurious at all, but comfortable enough and clean. No chairs on the balcony. We found out the walls were very thin the last night when we had a bachelor party move in next to us :/ So, bring earplugs!
