This is quaint lovely old hotel that is homey and nostalgic. The staff are warm and friendly who make non-french speakers feel right at home. Because of the nature of the hotel the rooms are not large, but very comfortable.

MORE THAN JUST A HOTEL ROOM

Pros: SEE ABOVE
As we neared the hotel our GPS and computer systems of our rented car "blew" out. We managed to find the hotel and the owners spent some considerable time getting through the disaster that was the rent-a-car's all-French 800# to arrange a replacement the next day. They really went over and above what I have ever seen, and we've traveled the world and have spent time in hotels larger than this one.

two night summer stay

Pros: staff, location, breakfast
This is a very good hotel by European standards. It is well located, has friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is great. My wife and I recommend it highly.

Rooms are small but clean and comfortable

Pros: Clean and comfortable bed, and from what I could tell it was also quiet.
Cons: It was a little unnerving entering a dark room at night and seeing the outline of a large stuffed leopard on the bed. Might want to ditch that. :-)
Location: I can't address this since I checked in after 9:30pm and checked out at 7:30AM the next morning.
When I booked the room, I wanted a single bed since I was travelling by myself but all they had was a family room. The room had one large bed (king?) and two bunk beds. These took up most of the space in the room leaving only a small space on one side for a writing area and bench, and an armoire on the other side. This was fine for me, but It left me wondering what a single room would have been like. More importantly though, the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It had one of the most comfortable beds on my European vacation which included two other hotels and two apartments. So if you don't mind being a little cramped, Hotel Le Bayeux is a nice placed to stay.

Excellent hotel. Not fancy but great location.

Pros: Cleanliness and proximity to train station. 10 minute walk
Had a great two days in Bayeux. The hotel was inexpensive and great for the price. It was clean and the staff was great. Highly recommend Bayeux and Hotel LeBayeux
