The lobby is definitely deceiving as to what to expect for the rest of the hotel; however, for the price in Times Square, I won’t complain about the 3 star rooms with the 4.5 star lobby.
The staff was vey kind an helpful upon arrival; however, were very much “do it yourself” upon departure.
Finally, the room was cold, the drainage for the shower didn’t make sense and water was everywhere, and there was NO shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the shower caddy - nor were there small bottles provided. I think housekeeping works incredibly hard for not enough money cleaning up after guests; however, ensuring the bottles have enough shampoo/conditioner/body wash is an unfortunate oversight. It creates more work - having to come back - than doing it in the first place. And to clarify, the straws in the bottles were empty - there was one small “squirt” in one of the bottles and nothing in the others.
All-in-all though, I’d give it a 7:10 rating and definitely recommend going to the Duane Reed or literally any.other.store to get any essentials, drinks, or souvenirs.
