the room was small and cramped. one king size bed and one desk chair. watching tv meant going to bed. impossible for two people to work from room at the same time.

It was not worth the price. I booked through Travelocity and prepaid the room. I had a receipt and the amount came out of my debit card. I went to check in and was told my MasterCard was declined. Well I don’t have a MasterCard so that was a lie and I had proof of payment. I went to my room and the door was standing open. I had to go back and get another room. There was no water pressure and my room was dirty. I went to continental breakfast in the morning. There were fruit flies on the fruit. I grabbed an apple which ended up being rotten. Would never stay here again.

Travelocity review of Fairfield hotel: I had a level of expectation coming into the Fairfield Inn being a Marriott hotel, and was quite dissatisfied and underwhelmed with the room. The room was not cleaned well, for I found a blood stain pillow and hair ball under the covers.  Killing two cockroaches was the ultimate turn off to the room and the hotel. The hotel manager tried to provide us an alternative room, but when we transferred to what was supposed to be a better room, we found a used sock under the table and a dirty spoon, with food still on it, under the bed. My family and I could not get comfortable, so Fairfield Inn provided us alternative accommodations at a nearby hotel across the street after Travelocity called them to fix the problem. Fortunately, this was a MUCH better. Unless, one can deal with the uncleanliness and cockroaches, I would not recommend staying here.  However, I did appreciate the hotel manager listening to our concerns and finding us another complimentary hotel to stay, so that our visit to Sarasota was not a total disappointment.
