Staff was very nice. Hotel is old and has not been kept up. It smelled musty, needed a good coat of paint- especially in a hallways, bedspreads and shams were dingy and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately after being warned that dinner reservations were needed ( due to busiest of the area, we booked at the hotel only to be called a few hours later to say the chef called in sick, so no dinner. The included breakfast was mediocre- to say the least- something you’d get in a cafeteria. So a little disappointing

This is a "grand dame" of an earlier era, with the lovely accoutrements of that time. It has the elegance lacking in modern facilities and welcomes guests to comfortable and relaxing surroundings. The restaurant was quite nice and the food well-prepared. We would definitely stay again! Regrettably, it appears that visitors have diminished and staffing is problematic. We hope that changes and the Inn has many more years of success.
