"Great stay, would come again"
At check in Rich was most accommodating. He explained and suggested things that made my stay great. The cabin was almost perfect and it felt like there were no other guest around. I spent a lot of time on the porch soaking up nature. Rich still has a ride coming anytime he wants.

"Two kayakers like Marina Resort!"
Yes, we loved the resort (more about that in a minute), but we did not love the surprises once on the water, nothing to do with the Resort. We are fairly new to kayaking, and this was our first experience fresh-water kayaking. Fellow kayakers: get a lake permit ($20/day) BEFORE launching, which also includes a quaggas inspection; if your yak is under 12', you gotta stay within the 5 mph buoys, and if you go out at sunset, you better have navigation lights. Heed what I say, or you too will have visits from Lake Patrol. Now back to the Resort. Maybe we didn't have guests on either side of us, but it was very quiet. Comfy bed. Rustic knotty pine decor. But it's nothing extravagant! You can't beat the view. We were in the king bed rooms on the 3rd floor. All rooms face the lake, so everyone's got a view. Wifi worked perfectly. The hot tub and pool are wonderful. There's a cute little koi pond. Kiddies love the little playground and all the sand. The first floor rooms open directly to the grassy area in front, so access is easier to the lakefront from those rooms. They've also got tables, BBQs, ping-pong, and horseshoes. Too bad the rooms don't have kitchenettes, even though plenty of dining establishments are nearby. The front desk staff told us it was okay to keep our kayaks on the grass in-between use and overnight, but I think they got tired of people asking if they could rent them. Too bad the lake is so low...not good swimming there unless you don't mind the mud and weeds.

"Awesome and silly!"
We stayed in the Castle Garden room. The room was very well done. I loved the bedroom, fireplace, the babbling brook running through the room and the kitchen table! The talking coat of arms was silly and a little creepy. The fake foliage should be swapped out more regularly but still an amazing place!

" Good price and good location on lake"
Pros- walk to restaurants, lake, fishing, marina next door to rent boats & kayaks, heated pool & jacuzzi, free family movies for player in room, clean comfy beds. Cons-No A/C, floor creaks really loud, I felt bad for people below us, ceiling fan didn't do anything for heat end of June.
