Overall was okay to good

It wa an okay hotel. The positives- great location near transit Metro stop for easy access to other locations of city, the room was clean, shower had great pressure and temp and staff were helpfully Negatives- I had room in front along street which was loud, walls were really thin, wifi wasn't the strongest

rooms are renovated

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Very good value for my money. Entire hotelrooms seems to be renovated. I asked the receptionist, he told me, they ended renovating this september. Very nice as a 3 star hotel. good breakfast, friendly staff, a good reason to come back to berlin!

Okay hotel, rude staff

The hotel itself was in a great location but overpriced for what we got. The floor could have been vacuumed a little better (if it was at all) and the towels looked like they had been there for many years - all frayed on the ends and paper thin. I would have overlooked all this for a friendly, helpful face at the front desk but this was not the case. Since this hotel had keys, we had to leave them at the front dest each time we came and went - which is pretty annoying in itself, but for them to give an attitude was unprofessional considering they put themselves in that situation - did they expect us to stay in the hotel room for our visit? Security was another issue for us as we were given a room key that opened a different room in the hotel (misread the number) as well as our own. We had to wonder how many other keys did that! Upon checkout the employee at the front desk tried to tell me that I did not pay for my room (2 months in advance!) and kept me locked in the lobby until he found the proof himself! So, if I were desperate enough I would stay there again - but that is only after I'd exhausted every other possibility.
