"Above & Beyond, Friendly Staff & Excellent Food"
We stayed over the Christmas Holiday 2014. The staff was very accommodating. When arriving bell hop took our bags & lead us to the front desk. When we wanted to change rooms to be next to our friends, they transferred our belongings. The hotel was at full capacity and the staff continued to try & accommodate our needs. We are vegetarians & the chefs at each restaurant made special off menu dishes for us. We were very impressed & the food was amazing. All Inclusive: You get this awesome hand-made silk bracelet that shows you are all inclusive & under/over 18yo. The food/drinks are all included except some top shelf liquor (e.g. Kettle One, Southern Comfort, Jager) & some mixers (e.g. Red Bull). The bartenders will tell you if your drink is not included. We were not asked to put down a credit card on file (which I liked), 1) I may have spent more on the top shelf liquor and 2) You give your room number to charge drinks etc IF you have cash credit/credit card on file (meaning anyone can just say your room number). All of the restaurants/bars & pool side bars are included. The package included tips for staff/waiters etc. We did however still tip (e.g. $1-$2 for drinks at poolside per round and $5 for sit down restaurant for 4 people). Mini Bar: Beer, snacks, bottles of liquor, water etc in your room. Everything is free EXCEPT those w/ yellow/green sticker. Room Service: Food included, extra $5 charge for bringing food. Towel Card: Don't lose ($45 charge)

"We really enjoyed this hotel"
We stayed five days and had a very enjoyable time. We upgraded our room from "standard Lagoon view" to ocean view with a deck along with the semi all-inclusive package including breakfast and happy hour. Well worth it! Since this hotel is at the beginning of the strip we took the bus for $1 pp downtown or wherever we wanted to go. The stop is literally and the bottom of the Westin driveway across the (one-way) street in the turnaround area. The staff was so fun and nice. There isn't really an "activities director" type person or blasting music, it's more low key...at least at the end of the hotel where we were. There are 4 bldgs for this hotel, easy to get lost the first few days. Our room was clean and nice - beds were comfy! Never had a problem finding a place to sit by the pool or beach. Overall a really wonderful experience at this hotel!

"you get what you pay for"
This was my first time in cancun I stay there for 6 days in July of 09. My first thought of the hotel it looks clean the staff quick and friendly. The rooms are comfortable the air works pretty well. The negative part of this hotel is it"s there beach dirty. But if you travel to different areas of cancun the bus stop is close buy only 7.50 pesos. If you are in a budget this is a ok hotel anthother thing choose the all inclusive deal meals are fresh. Catch the ferry in puerto juarez not to far from the hotel to isla mujers it about 70 pesos round trip not bad. Mind you you do get what you pay for.

"Great price, facilities, hospitality and location"
After reading several reviews earlier, I decided to try this hotel for my first trip to Cancun. I would say, I am more than happy with what I got. The hotel is great and the staff is quite customer focused. The all-inclusive part is really worth as they have great food and the chef can customize the preparation based on what you want. They have enough bars to make you walk the least to get your fav drink, no matter which part of the hotel you are and what you are doing. The beach is clean and the ocean waters are close to the compound, so you don't have to walk too much. We enjoyed releasing the baby turtles with our own hands several times during our one week stay, for which you would have otherwise paid elsewhere. There was an attempt to sell timeshare-like package but its all optional and no pressure. My special call out to their entertainment staff who did an excellent job in singing, dancing, and all other sorts of activities arranged free for the guests every night. The place is in the Hotel zone but not in that part where most of the malls and street shops are (like Riu, Pallazo, etc.) The disadvantage about this is that you got to take a public transit (very reliant and affordable) if you have to go anywhere outside the hotel. The good part is that, it is away from the noise and the typical marketplace crowd, so you can relax and enjoy your stay at the hotel. One really does not require to step outside the hotel as you can spend a whole week enjoying the hotel facilities like pools, bars, beach, night shows, spa, massage, etc. Tips are ofcourse optional, but do tip if you loved the service as the staff is really helpful and they try their best to give you the best comfort. In a summary here are the great and not so great things about the hotel - GREAT: a) Good beach, b) 4 pools, c) Courteous staff, d) All rooms (except lagoon viewing suites) have a full or partial ocean view, f) Good location, g) All-inclusive, h) High quality drinks I) Kid and family friendly j) Entertainment programs. NOT SO GREAT: a) A little away from malls, b) No shuttles to the city/malls c) No Mexican food option for night (day-time - you do have good Mexican options)

"Great staff, great hotel, very relaxing!"
The hotel was nice. We had a great ocean view room. Beach was nice, water very clear and warm. Food was good as long as you like Mexican food (fajitas, and guacamole were fantastic). Drinks were good, everyone was really nice. Had a great stay!!

"Great first-time trip to Cancun!"
This place is huge and it took a full day to get our bearings and learn where everything is. My husband and I upgraded to VIP and it was worth it. We had so much fun on the lagoon lunch cruise included with our upgrade! We really liked having the VIP Club Lounge on the 8th floor for breakfast and cocktails. It was quiet and the food was good. Isaac took great care of us. He is outstanding. Having a personal concierge to make our reservations was great too. Nicole and Sandy were so helpful and easily answered any questions. The first night we ate at Wayne's Boots. It was fun watching people try to ride the mechanical bull but our steaks were not good so I don't recommend that restaurant. My favorite restaurant was the French, Sans Souci. The steaks were delicious and the atmosphere was very upscale. We sat by an oceanfront window at dusk and had an amazing experience. Juan was fantastic! This restaurant is adults only with a dress code. Great ambiance. The Mexican restaurant was really good and I loved the decor. Jose took care of us and we enjoyed our dinner very much. My husband's favorite restaurant was Fisherman's. The mahi mahi was good. The Italian restaurant was ok. Then there was La Palapa. That was where most people had breakfast lunch & dinner. Big variety, buffet style but with chefs at various stations cooking made to order items. Great view of two of the pools. There were a lot of kids here since this is a family resort and everyone seemed to be having fun.
