"Perfect location and great ambiance"
The location was great being within walking distance to bars and restaurants. They also have their own bar, which was a great place to start the evening, and have a drink. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was great. What a terrific view. It was a little pricey as compared to some. I was not disappointed, as I knew the price going into it. They were quite flexible with my check-in time, letting me check in early. Also, they have late check-out which suited my needs just fine. Overall, a great stay, and enjoyed the decor immensely.

"This hotel is a great value"
This hotel is just one block away from a MARTA train station, which is fantastic for my needs attending DragonCon in downtown Atlanta without a car. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice especially the comfy beds and pillows. The only things that would have made them even better - a little fridge and the ability to set the TV to an alternate input device so I could review my vids from my cam. The remote from the satellite service did not have that option. Lastly, they offered me free shuttle service to the airport when I left, which I was not expecting!

"Came for Emory docs, but enjoyed Atlanta too!"
My 93 y/o grandmother and I drove up from Savannah, GA so that she could see an eye specialist at Emory. It was a trip filled with unknowns and anxiety, but from the moment we arrived at the Artmore we nearly forgot about the doctor! On the drive up, they called and informed us that we were selected for an upgrade to a two floor, two bedroom and two bath suite! When we arrived the staff, including the valet guys, were absolutely lovely and courteous. Our room was like a NYC penthouse - complete with black and white pictures of rock and movie stars (also throughout the hotel). The Beatles were in our living room, Elvis in my grandmother's room and Mick Jagger and Jimi Hendrix in my upstairs "en suite." After dinner out in town the first night, we returned and sat outside in the balmy weather in the gorgeous, string-lit and fire-fountain courtyard and chatted. Since we actually ended up having to stay two nights instead of one, the staff accommodated us by letting us stay in the suite another night for the same price that we found on Travelocity. Then by some magic at check-out, they didn't charge us for the $20 per night parking rate. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty and only $10. The "restaurant"(which we ate at the second night) is really just sitting at the bar off the lobby, but the food was good and the bartenders were friendly. You do have to pay to use the K-cups in the suite ($4 per cup, eek), but everything really exceeded our expectations

"A hotel with character! I love this place <3"
Sick of the chain hotels with their predictable décor that dulls your senses? Well check out The Highland Inn on the outskirts of Mid-Town Atlanta. My boyfriend and I spend 2 nights in this charming establishment in February 2015. It was super clean, surprisingly quiet for such an old place, and gave you to the sense of mini apartments. Yes, the rooms are small (we got a double which gave us some extra space) and the place is old (water stains and a bit of peeling paint) but it adds to the charm of this old place. I've never been to Europe but I sense this place would fit right in there. It's homey, unassuming, and very comfortable. We came from the Omni Hotel and this hotel beat the Omni hands down in service, comfort, and atmosphere! The location is perfect for walkers - Freedom Park is just blocks away and Piedmont Park and the Beltway approx. 30-40 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants - Café 640 right next door, a few Mexican sit downs up and around corner on Ponce de Leon, BBQ place a few doors down as well as a 24 hr. diner at corner plaza (we didn't eat there however). Close to Little Five Points but unfortunately no stores were open before 12 noon :-) There's a resident black cat that doesn't bother you (you wouldn't even know it's there if you didn't actually see it). We stayed in the last room on the second floor near a screened in porch area. If your a smoker, Room 342 would be the perfect room for you. If you want modern conveniences this is not the place for you.
