Well located hotel but showing its age

Pros: Staff helpfulness and friendliness
Cons: Bathrooms need to be updated with modern quality
Location: 5 minute car ride (or hotel shuttle) to beautiful Dickenson Beach 10 minute ride to some fun restaurants in St John's.
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful with dinner reservations and directions. Our room, a mini-suite, had a great view over Dickenson Beach but was very tired. The bathroom was barely acceptable: it was small with a really old shower with badly stained caulking and several chips. It was probably state of the art 30 years ago! We only used the restaurant once (breakfast): while the staff were VERY friendly, service was slow. The food was decent but the dinner menu seemed pricey so we elected to eat elsewhere.
