This hotel is five star in every category! The staff is fantastic. The rooms are wonderful. Beds are fantastic. Cleanliness is exceptional. Breakfast is one of the best I have had anywhere in Europe. There is a free minibar in room. You can purchase subway tickets at the front desk. This hotel is located in a great area- only a few minutes to walk to Marienplatz. Subway station is literally two minutes away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Munich!

Great location Short walking distance to city center, shopping,restaurants, and Hofbräuhaus Very nice buffet breakfast included. Hotel staff very helpful with dinner reservations and info on local attractions.

Friendly hotel in perfect location

Pros: Friendliness of the staff and convenience to Old Munich.
From the moment we checked in the Hotel Torbrau we felt we were with family! It has the charm of a very old historic inn yet has all the modern conveniences. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as we were first time visitors to Munich. We could walk to the old parts of the city and the train station was close enough to get to other areas. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel.

Single traveller pleasure

Pros: Bathroom amenities and bedding were excellent. Historic hotel was well appointed with interesting historical references and pictures.
Cons: unfortunately, the wasps enjoyed the breakfast entrees as much as I did. Good effort to try and protect the food but it was annoying
Location: Hotel is located in the historic centre of Munich near the Isator Gate with easy access to all the famous landmarks. Great pizza at Nero's nearby
Hotel was just perfect! Easy access to central Munich, trains and airport. Room A/C worked well, bed and bedding were the most comfortable I experienced throughout my European trip. Breakfast was very good but sign indicating made to order eggs including omelets was small and I missed seeing it. My room was located off the busy front street and was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful even providing tickets for trains/metro.
