"Convenient Location!"
Wonderful experience overall. CLEAN generous sized room. Although I had the airport view - even that was interesting to look at. The harbor side looked amazing. Ate breakfast at their restaurant - excellent and HUGE portions. Convenient location. Free shuttle from the airport and back as well as to the subway. The water taxi service is right out the back door. Wished I could have stayed longer!

"A nice clean hotel for a good price"
I recently had a connecting flight in Boston that was cancelled due to the weather. I was somewhat frazzled as I was tired, had never been to Boston and was not prepared to stay over night any place other than my final destination. I tend to be a bit of a stickler about hotel rooms and dont like the idea of staying anyplace that I have not had a chance to research on line. Needless to say I was worried about finding a good clean hotel that didn't cost a fortune. After weighing my options, I called the Marriott Courtyard by the airport and they were so nice and in less then five minutes the shuttle was there to pick me up. The hotel was very nice and the warm fire place they had in the lobby was a welcome site. The folks at the reception desk were pleasant and provided me with all the stuff that I stupidly packed in my checked luggage and not in my carry on(toothbrush, toothpaste! etc). I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. After a careful inspection I can say that the room was very clean. I had a single King bed in the room. There is a love seat and coffee table and and an armoire to hang your clothes instead of a closet. The decor was even nice and very colorful. Lots of dark wood, and cool bathroom door(which I want for my own house now!)Not at all hotel like. The Wi-fi worked good for my ipad and they had places to plug in and charge everything and a place to hook into high speed internet if you had a notebook computer. Since the weather was so bad I didnt bother to go back outside, but it was a nice cozy room to nest in. I will warn you that I ate dinner at the restaurant down stairs and it was pricey, however my meal was good and my server was very nice. They had some good things on the menu, however, since this was an unexpected stop I was trying not to spend too much money and I got the cheapest thing they offered-$12 for a burger(which came with Fries). Add another $8 to$10 for the tip and a drink. Again, it was good food though. Slept well, comfortable bed and alarm clock that worked, so I didnt need a wake up call. Skipped the breakfast buffet which was $15. If I ever go to Boston again or have another lay over when I am passing through I will stay there. I would recommend this hotel to others!

"Location, amenities, and class!"
We chose the Fairmont Battery Wharf because we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city center in a luxurious and welcoming environment, and that's exactly what we got. The hotel is located in the far northeastern corner of Boston's North End neighborhood and is a 15+ minute walk to the nearest subway stops (North Station, Haymarket, or Aquarium). This may be a turn off to some but it also means that the property is quiet and almost every room has some sort of water view. Additionally, the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the North End's many enticing Italian eateries and several historical stops on the Freedom Trail. The hotel itself is the epitome of class, yet still had a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and willing to help with our questions and requests. Our room was well equipped with all of the things one would expect in a luxury hotel. If you like good espresso, you have to try the Nespresso. It was delicious. (The only notable omission in the room was slippers--I wanted slippers.) It is worth noting that the hotel rooms only occupy the first two floors of the two waterfront buildings, with the three floor above being private residences. The Fairmont Gold Club building (which is just slightly off the water) contains the spa and gym, as well as several more floors of hotel rooms. The only negative (and it was a big surprise) was that our room was quite noisy on Friday night due to the hotel's weekend Jazz concerts. Be forewarned that if your room is in the Sea Cloud building (where the front desk is located) and above the lobby/restaurant, your Friday and Saturday evening (9-11pm) will be noisy. My suggestion: either go downstairs and enjoy the music or watch something on TV until the music ends. I should note that Sunday night was completely quiet, so I assume that it's the same situation Sun-Thurs. A few tips: 1) sign up for the Fairmont Presidents Club upon arrival. It is free (only requires your name and email) and gets you free internet for your entire stay (normally $15/day) as well as access to the hotel's complimentary BMW 7-series car service. They will drive you anywhere you like up to 2.5 miles from the hotel--for free! 2) The car service, if you manage to snag it, eliminates the issue of the hotel's somewhat isolated location. 3) If you're heading to Logan airport after your stay call ahead and request the water taxi service, it is $10 per person and well worth it! It's cheaper than a regular taxi, way more scenic, and just as fast. All-in-all, the Fairmont Battery Wharf is a great hotel, and a pretty good value for the money (especially if you find a room at a reduced rate). This hotel is definitely out-of-the-way of the downtown hubbub, but that might be just what you're after. You can always get to the action if you want to--you just don't have to stay in the midst of it!

"Wonderful!"
We stayed 5 nights in June.  The hotel is in a great area on the waterfront at Boston Harbor.  The room was large and divided into a bedroom area and a sitting area with a TV in both areas.  The furniture is very nice and the bed comfortable.  The staff is professional, friendly and always helpful in giving directions and recommendations.
