This place was amazing. From check in, to food, to the view, the activities, the staff. The only two things that weren’t my favorite was the mattress we slept on was not comfortable and this sounds silly but the drinks were sooo strong it was hard to want to drink them.

The front desk was the best experience. The wait staff were fantastic. I did not like the massage people from a few buildings down trying to get people to get their services. Almost like they were representing Riu. They were intrusive.

Every thing was fantastic other than Tamales…. We were seated, and the waiter brought our drinks and finally brought my soup… but never brought our food, after about a 15-20 wait we left…. Never got our food. They were not that busy that night. Other couples got their food that came in after we did, and were served. Will never go back to Tamales again. Very rude service

Property looked amazing when we walked in with very friendly staff. Our room started leaking water heavily from the roof.. they “upgraded” us from a king bed to 2 double beds..which we had a long bed prior. The food was terrible. The staff at the Italian restaurant onsite were extremely rude because of the clothes that we were wearing at a beach resort. Would not recommend staying at this property.
