There was no shuttle service to the metro station as was on the website as well as confirmed by the check in staff. the staff were not helpful nor kind when we arrived. Also, it would be helpful to provide the metro station info. etc.

The best thing about this place was the location— hands down. The staff was nice-no complaints against them. Was disappointed that there was no breakfast when we specifically booked this place for the breakfast— we had visited a different Spring Hill location recently that did offer a hot breakfast so we thought the Alexandria location would be just as pleasing :( instead... they had a brown bag with a small bottle of water/granola bar and a fruit cup. Our room— the bathroom was horrible- the wallpaper was peeling and moldy and the shower had moldy spots on the tile as well. The door also dragged on the floor very badly so it was hard to open. We asked if we could change rooms the following day because we had not noticed until late that evening. We switched rooms and then when it came time to shower the hot water heater did not work :( so once again we had to switch rooms. Also, it’s a smoke free hotel but quite a few nights our room would smell of smoke and weed.. even down in the laundry area :( I won’t ever stay at this place again— we were completely disappointed considering we’ve had great experiences at other Spring Hill hotels... 👎👎

Unfortunately there really isn’t anything nice to say about this property besides convenience to where ai needed to be. Bathroom was gross had brown splatter stains on the walls, smelled like smoke when you initially turn on the heat and by heat i mean cold air! It was an icebox in my room when I checked in, i left my room for dinner at about 730pm and turned the heat on 78 i returned at about 1am and it was still an ice box in my room! Around 4/430 am it finally got up to id say maybe 72 degrees. My bathroom light had a slow increase so literally took about a minute to have fully lighting while it slowly lit up more and more. Keep your money if you can folks, waste of money.

Clean, comfortable hotel but extremely noisy.

Hotel was very clean. Beds are comfortable. Noisy every morning starting at 4am. Breakfast not ready at 7am.

Staff Issues

Pros: Newer and looks nice
Cons: Staff needs to be available and helpful. They did nothing about the power outage
Location: It's Washington DC, there is plenty to do
We got there at 2 am, they had no power, and the power was not restored until late morning the next day. No hot water either. Also at one point we called the front desk 3 times and stopped by and waited over 10 min to ask for some towels. We never got them

One of the nicest we've experienced

I guess one of the things I liked best about this hotel was the space. High ceilings and the floor plan of the room gave our family of 5 (with 2 grown young men) ample space to stay comfortably. After a tiring day of site-seeing in DC, it was nice to have the Jacuzzi to relax in before getting something to eat nearby and turning in early. The rooms were clean, the staff was very accommodating and helpful with site-seeing and metro tips, and the breakfast had a lot of variety to help us juice up before we started our day. The free shuttle to and from the Metro station was great as well. We will be back!
