"great deal and great hotel"
a completely deserved 5 star hotel, in the city center, near to the historical part of Rome and the shopping boutiques. The rooms are big and luminous, the stuff is great and helpful, they all speak english and have suggested us great restaurants and places to go. I loved the hotel, I loved Rome..

"Honeymoon from Georgia"
We stayed in a deluxe suite facing the street side. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful providing us with directions, extra towels, change, iron/board, and a razor. The hotel sits near the top of the Spanish Steps. The location is near most major sites - walking, bus, or Metro. King size beds are made by pushing two twin beds together. So if you do not want a "crease" in the middle ask for a queen size bed.

"Marvelous hotel"
This hotel was wonderful! As soon as we walked into the hotel, the bellman, concierge and people at the reception desk were attentive & friendly. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding between our taxi & us...and the hotel took the responsibility upon themselves & upgraded to a suite! We were thrilled! We stayed in the suite wing of the hotel & the room was beautiful! It even had a fresco behind our bed. The room had every amenity imaginable. Turn down service included complimentary slippers placed on a mat next to the bed and a thoughtful hand-written note from the staff with the weather forecast (very helpful) for the next day. The bathroom was spacious & had a rain (ceiling) showerhead. The fitness room was well appointed with exercise equipment, towels, sauna & mini refrigerator with cold water bottles. We had dinner on the top floor restaurant, La Terrazza. The food was good but the service was absolutely impeccable. This is the only restaurant that I have been to that they actually place a side table for the woman to place her purse during dining. The view from the restaurant is breath-taking! I would DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again. Location - it is a 3-5 minute walk to Villa Borghese, 5 minute walk to the top of the Spanish Steps, 7 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. Hotel Eden would definitely be my first choice to stay in Rome. We also stayed at the Intercontinental and was not as impressed with that hotel, as we were with Hotel Eden.

"Could almost reach out the window and touch the Pantheon"
The Grand Hotel was indeed grand. To get to the entrance, you pass through the little Piazza Della Minerva that has a Bernini elephant in the middle, with an obelisk on it's back. The hotel is a warm yellow color, like lemon meringue, with mint green wooden window shutters. The lobby has cool marble floors, colorful stained glass ceilings, and Roman arches framing marble statues. The staff was friendly and upon our request, immediately upgraded our room (at no additional cost) to one with a view of the Pantheon. The room was large and airy and filled with sunlight. Despite the central location it was quiet, as instead of a busy street out front you had the piazza. The bed was large and luxurious- big enough for 3 or 4 people. The bathroom had lovely Bulgari lotions and shampoos and plenty of fluffy white towels. To use the internet you had to bring your own laptop down to the lobby which was a bit odd, and the business center was apparently out of order which was a hassle. The rooftop terrace had stunning views and amazing food. It was the perfect, romantic dinner spot on a beautiful July evening. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. It was amazing to look out the window and almost be able to touch the Pantheon. You literally felt like you were in the heart of Rome. The hotel is very expensive, but if you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious place to stay within easy distance of all the main sites, this is it.

"Gracious and efficient service, ideal location, elegant and relaxed atmosphere"
The excellent service began when i was making initial inquiries - the reservation staff responded quickly, answered all my questions fully and then were able to ensure that my special requests were honored. When we arrived after a long flight from NYC, all our needs were met and the rooms were well appointed, clean and extremely comfortable (even my pre-arrival request for down pillows had been remembered and were in our beds). Breakfast upstairs was calm, in a beautiful dining area with attentive and efficient staff - the buffet was never chaotic, was always filled with delicious and fresh foods (breads, pastries, frest fruit and yoghurt assortments), eggs and hot foods. We found that the concierge staff were very helpful with suggesting authentic and delicious restaurants (which were appropriate for families: we were with our daughters: well travelled and ages 12 and 15) as well as securing reservations for museums (Galleria Borghese) and taxis. The location for us was perfect; it was a huge relief to be out of the mania closer to the Spanish Steps and as we are all walkers, found it easily accessible to the rest of the city (we didn't mind walking up the big hill). We used the spa and it was a great break for all of us when we were so tired from sight seeing.

"Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of everything"
This hotel was really great overall. It was within a short walking distance to many of the sites (Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Villa Borghese). The metro was down the block so you could go further in a few short minutes (Colosseum, Vatican). There were multiple ATM machines a block away. There were many excellent restaurants close by. The staff was very nice and helpful in booking reservations to restaurants and showing you how to get around. Despite the restaurant/bar on the premises and Hard Rock Cafe up the block, the room was very quiet. The decor of the hotel and rooms could be described as antique elegant. Each room even had it's own doorbell. The furniture was mostly white, but very elegant and refined. We considered another hotel near Villa Borghese that seemed to have similar overall ratings, amenities, location, but what tipped us overs the free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Using FaceTime helped to save a lot of money with phone calls home and we had no issues with connectivity inside the room at all. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
